The successful candidate will provide administrative and operational support to all teams working on his\/her unit\u2019s portfolio.<\/p>\n<p>The job implies frequent interaction with other VP Units, IFC, MIGA and other institutional units, staff in other locations (locally and internationally), Government officials, consultants and external organizations.<img decoding=\"async\" title=\"More...\" src=\"https:\/\/nigeriajoblist.com\/wp-includes\/js\/tinymce\/plugins\/wordpress\/img\/trans.gif\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Duties and Accountabilities<\/p>\n<p>These will include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Keeping abreast of the Organization\u2019s directives on and ensuring effective processing of all project documents.<\/li>\n<li>Using desktop processing skills to produce complex texts, reports, figures, graphs, etc., according to Bank format and distribution.<\/li>\n<li>Collecting and inputting data provided by Task Team Leaders into the central database, including processing new project status reports.<\/li>\n<li>Tracking and reporting on appropriate aspects of the Team\u2019s operational activities.<\/li>\n<li>Drafting standard letters, memos, faxes, etc. conforming to the Organization\u2019s regional standards, using proper grammar, punctuation and style.<\/li>\n<li>Drafting minutes of meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Performing Analytical tasks as may be requested by the Team Leader from time to time.<\/li>\n<li>Providing assistance in editing large documents.<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining up-to-date divisional project files (both paper and electronic).<\/li>\n<li>Answering internal and external queries on the assigned portfolio or, as necessary, taking accurate and comprehensive telephone messages, and routing them to appropriate persons to handle.<\/li>\n<li>Assisting in preparation and logistical planning for various events, e.g. conferences, workshops, negotiations, board presentation and signing, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining current distribution lists, phone\/address lists of project\/product contacts, and distributes documents for the team.<\/li>\n<li>Serving as a back-up to other staff and Task Team Assistants on project and administrative tasks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The specific duties will include, but not necessarily be limited to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent command of written and spoken English<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to interact tactfully with people of all levels.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable team spirit and strong desire to actively contribute to a team\u2019s objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to extend his\/her working hours to meet deadlines and at short notice.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to function effectively in multi-disciplinary teams within a matrix management environment.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and produce excellent results under pressure.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent word and data processing skills (Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Ability to pass relevant Bank Group tests in place at time of recruitment (e.g. English language, computer applications, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of two years cognate experience.<\/li>\n<li>HND or First Degree obtained at not less than Lower credit or Second Class (Lower) grades, respectively.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Deadline is <strong>9th October 2009<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Nigeria Job list - Jobs in Nigeria, Nigerian jobs\" href=\"http:\/\/extjobs.worldbank.org\/external\/default\/main?pagePK=64273552&amp;piPK=64778863&amp;theSitePK=1058433&amp;JobNo=091710&amp;order=descending&amp;sortBy=job-req-num&amp;location=ALL&amp;menuPK=64778838\" target=\"_blank\">Click here for more info on how to apply<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The World Bank\u00a0needs the services of a Team Assistant, to be based in Abuja Nigeria.
