IITA works on the following crops: cowpea, soybean, banana\/plantain, yam, cassava, and maize.<\/p>\n<p>The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture, seeks suitable Nigerian for the position below at the Institute\u2019s headquarters in Ibadan:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Painter II<br \/>\nRef:<\/strong>\u00a0IITA-HRNRS2017-012B<br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Ibadan, Oyo<br \/>\n<strong>Recruitment Type:<\/strong>\u00a0National (3-year renewable contract)<br \/>\n<strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nSuccessful candidate will among other things perform the following duties:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in preparing, priming and painting building walls;<\/li>\n<li>Assist in taping, flushing, repair and apply finishing skills on walls;<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the maintenance of all painting equipment\u2019s;<\/li>\n<li>Handle sign-writing works;<\/li>\n<li>Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualification<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>OND, Trade Test II \/Artisan certificate in Civil Engineering or related fields plus at least two (2) years relevant experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Competencies:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The ideal candidate must have knowledge of painting and decoration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Remuneration<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We offer highly competitive salary with equally attractive benefits and excellent working conditions in a pleasant campus environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified applicants should complete the online application attaching their cover letter with detailed curriculum vitae saved in a single file in Microsoft Word format.
