We are currently recruiting suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Food Technologist<br \/>\nLocation<\/strong>: Jos \u2013 Plateau<br \/>\n<strong>Job Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>As a food technologist, it is your job to make sure food products are produced safely, legally and are of the quality claimed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Modifying existing products and processes and developing new ones;<\/li>\n<li>Checking and improving safety and quality control procedures in your own and suppliers\u2019 factories, from the raw material stage through to the finished product;<\/li>\n<li>Researching current consumer markets and latest technologies to develop new product concepts;<\/li>\n<li>Selecting raw materials and other ingredients from suppliers;<\/li>\n<li>Undertaking long-term projects with other departments, e.g. reducing waste by improving efficiency;<\/li>\n<li>Working on packaging innovation and technology in food manufacturing,<\/li>\n<li>Developing the ability to repeat processes to ensure consistency and safety;<\/li>\n<li>Liaising with technical and commercial colleagues in procurement, sales, technical services and marketing and distribution, and with official food inspection and hygiene agencies ;<\/li>\n<li>Preparing product costing based on raw materials and manufacturing costs to ensure profitable products;<\/li>\n<li>Auditing suppliers or managing internal audits;<\/li>\n<li>Coordinating launches of new products or running trials alongside or together with product development;<\/li>\n<li>Dealing with any customer complaint investigations or product issues;<\/li>\n<li>Compiling, checking and approving product specifications and labelling;<\/li>\n<li>working with engineering and production to develop solutions to production issues, while maintaining food safety.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>HND in Food\/Nutrition and Health, Food Safety and Quality Management, or Food Science\/Technology.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Skills:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A genuine interest in science and how it is applied to food and cookery;<\/li>\n<li>High standards of cleanliness and the ability to adhere to strict hygiene rules;excellent attention to detail;<\/li>\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills;leadership qualities;people and team-working skills;<\/li>\n<li>A flexible approach to working;numeracy and problem-solving skills;time management and organisational skills;<\/li>\n<li>An awareness of the consumer market.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Finance Assistant<br \/>\nLocation<\/strong>: Jos \u2013 Plateau<br \/>\n<strong>Job Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assisting the Managing Director in managing, processing and troubleshooting various accounts and transactions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Process and prepare financial and business forms for the purpose of checking account balances, facilitating purchases, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Perform routine calculations to produce analyses and reports as requested by the finance director.<\/li>\n<li>Help oversee and manage individual accounts.<\/li>\n<li>Create, send, and follow up on invoices.<\/li>\n<li>Review and adhere to department budgets.<\/li>\n<li>Collect and enter data for various financial spreadsheets.<\/li>\n<li>Review and audit financial statements and reports, ensure all calculations and data entries are correct.<\/li>\n<li>Reconcile any discrepancies or errors identified by conversing with employees and\/or clients.<\/li>\n<li>Report any troubling discoveries or suspicion of wrongdoing to the proper authorities.<\/li>\n<li>Collect information for and prepare payroll payments for employees.<\/li>\n<li>Assist the Managing Director in creating financial reports on a regular basis.<\/li>\n<li>Adhere to the company\u2019s or organisation\u2019s financial policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Answers question and provide assistance to stakeholders, customers, and clients as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Attend finance department and company-wide meetings, sometimes assisting with financial reporting to managers and senior executives.<\/li>\n<li>Suggest changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost reductions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills and Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>HND in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field;<\/li>\n<li>Excellent mathematical skills;<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of data privacy standards;<\/li>\n<li>Integrity;<\/li>\n<li>Honesty;<\/li>\n<li>Customer-service skills;<\/li>\n<li>Solid communication skills,<\/li>\n<li>Both written and verbal;<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with business principles and practices;<\/li>\n<li>Superior attention to detail;<\/li>\n<li>Organisational skills;<\/li>\n<li>Planning skills;<\/li>\n<li>Problem-solving skills;<\/li>\n<li>Analytical
