{"id":42174,"date":"2017-09-13T12:22:46","date_gmt":"2017-09-13T11:22:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=42174"},"modified":"2017-09-13T12:22:46","modified_gmt":"2017-09-13T11:22:46","slug":"bureau-public-procurement-graduate-procurement-cadre-conversion-program-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/bureau-public-procurement-graduate-procurement-cadre-conversion-program-2017.html","title":{"rendered":"Bureau of Public Procurement Graduate Procurement Cadre Conversion Program 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) \u2013 The training programme of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) for conversion of officers into the Procurement Cadre is designed to build institutional capacity as required in Part II, Section 5(k) and (s) of the Public Procurement Act, 2007.<br \/>\nAccounting Officers are therefore requested to nominate qualified officers to participate in the training scheduled to take place at the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON), Topo-Badagry, Lagos State, from Sunday, 29 October \u2013 Friday, November 10th, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>In furtherance of this, the Bureau hereby announces the commencement of the second batch of the 2017 exercise as highlited below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Title:\u00a0Training for Conversion into the Procurement Cadre in Parastatals, Institutions, Commissions, and Agencies of the Federal Government of Nigeria<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For a candidate to be eligible for conversion to the Procurement cadre, he\/she shall possess at least a Bachelor\u2019s degree, HND or equivalent, in any of the following disciplines: Economics, Business Administration, Accountancy, Law, Insurance, Banking and Finance, Marketing, Quantity Survey, Engineering, Architecture, Computer Science, Statistics, Purchasing and Supply or other related disciplines as approved by the National Council on Establishment.<\/li>\n<li>Only Candidates with nomination letters duly endorsed by their Accounting Officers will be admitted to the training.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nHow to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should include their Curriculum Vitae (of the nominated officer), which must clearly state the following details in the following order:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Names, email address and phone number of the officer<\/li>\n<li>Current cadre and grade level (Nominees should not be above GL 15 or equivalent)<\/li>\n<li>Date of first appointment, confirmation and last promotion (relevant document attached)<\/li>\n<li>Academic and professional qualifications (attach copies of certificates)<\/li>\n<li>Evidence of past training in Public Procurement at the Bureau\u2019s training centre (which will be an added advantage \u2013 please attach copies of certificates)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The request from interested Parastatals, Agencies, Institutions and Commissions should reach the Bureau and should be addressed to the:<br \/>\n<strong>Director-General,<br \/>\nBureau of Public Procurement,<br \/>\n11 Suleiman Barau Crescent,<br \/>\nOff Ibrahim Taiwo Street,<br \/>\nState House,<br \/>\nAsokoro-Abuja.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>There is currently no conversion for core civil servants.<\/li>\n<li>Nominees above GL 15 or equivalent shall not be considered for this programme;<\/li>\n<li>Only shortlisted nominated officers will be admitted to the training;<\/li>\n<li>The shortlisted nominated officers must come along with two (2) recent passport photograph for registration;<\/li>\n<li>The endorsement of candidates by Accounting Officers implies that successful nominees shall be converted into the Procurement Cadre in their respective establishments;<\/li>\n<li>Failure to follow the above listed requirements will automatically disqualify the Candidate.
