NRC advocates for the rights of displaced populations and offers assistance within the shelter, emergency food security, and water, sanitation and hygiene sectors.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>ICLA Assistant<br \/>\nLocation:\u00a0<\/strong>Maiduguri, Borno<strong><br \/>\nTasks and Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nGeneric Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines<\/li>\n<li>Assist with the implementation of the support function portfolio according to plan of action<\/li>\n<li>Promote the rights of IDPs\/returnees in line with the advocacy strategy<\/li>\n<li>Involve and inform communities and community leaders about the activities to ensure accountability.<\/li>\n<li>Break down the annual operational plans into weekly, monthly and quarterly implementation plans<\/li>\n<li>Assist the Project officer to ensure that procurement and distribution of materials and are timely and according to procedures<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and develop status reports as required by supervisor<\/li>\n<li>Ensure proper filing of documents<\/li>\n<li>Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function<\/li>\n<li>Perform any other duties as requested by the ICLA Project Officer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Specific Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Therefore, the ICLA Assistant will contribute and assist the ICLA Project Officer in the following activities;<\/li>\n<li>Direct implementation of all ICLA activities including community engagement and trainings on HLP, Identity documentation and CDR.<\/li>\n<li>Identify and communicate to line manager protection issues in the field<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate community engagement throughout the project cycle<\/li>\n<li>Strengthen awareness and use of beneficiary feedback and complaint mechanisms<\/li>\n<li>Participate and contribute in the development of HLP and CD training modules<\/li>\n<li>To establish and strengthen and maintain relations with community stakeholder\u2019s local leaders and beneficiaries<\/li>\n<li>Support collection of M &amp; E information to inform program design<\/li>\n<li>Participate and contribute in the development of the ICLA core competency strategy<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum 1 years of experience of project implementation in humanitarian\/recovery contexts;<\/li>\n<li>Degree in Law or any related field<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge on Microsoft office excel, word, power point e.t.c<\/li>\n<li>Documented results related to the position\u2019s responsibilities;<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge about own leadership skills\/profile;<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in English, both written and verbal;<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in Kanuri would be an added advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>We Offer<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Commencement: ASAP<\/li>\n<li>Contract period: Until December 2017 with possibility of extension<\/li>\n<li>Salary\/benefits: According to NRC\u2019s directions<\/li>\n<li>Duty station: Maiduguri, Borno State<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Food Security Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Damasak, Borno<br \/>\n<strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In light of the displacement in the north eastern part of Nigeria, NRC is about to start up an emergency response programme in Nigeria to respond to the humanitarian needs.<\/li>\n<li>In the coming months, the main focus for NRC would be conflict affected populations including IDPs, returnees and the local communities in Borno State.<\/li>\n<li>NRC will initially be starting activities in the area of food security, water and sanitation, ICLA and shelter\/NFI sectors.<\/li>\n<li>NRC is therefore seeking a Food Security Officer in Dikwa, Borno, Nigeria.
