Our South African offices are currently covering Southern Africa and Sub-Saharan African countries.<\/li>\n<li>As a Business Development Manager, your challenge will be to raise awareness of the ALE brand and services for the assigned area, and establish contacts with clients which will ultimately lead to the provision of ALE\u2019s services.<\/li>\n<li>Our industry is extremely niche, so while commercial heavy lift experience is valuable it is not a requirement. If you have confidence in your sales abilities, can open doors and engage clients with effective solutions to their heavy lift and transport problems, then we can help lift your career to new heights.<\/li>\n<li>Reporting directly to the Director \u2013 South Africa, you will be able to call upon ALE\u2019s huge diverse array of engineering skills, equipment and operational logistics team to design, offer and then provide unique and innovative solutions to the most demanding heavy lift and transport challenges.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Role Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals, budgets and profitability.<\/li>\n<li>Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all enquiries submitted for pricing, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate records of all pricing, sales, and activity.<\/li>\n<li>Create and conduct proposal presentations and ITT (Invitation to Tender) responses.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare tenders and presentations.<\/li>\n<li>Control expenses to meet budget guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>Initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding sales performance.<\/li>\n<li>Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Business Administration\/Sales\/Marketing<\/li>\n<li>Blend of Marketing, sales and technical<\/li>\n<li>At least 3 years\u2019 experience working in a technical sales environment<\/li>\n<li>Oil &amp; Gas and\/or Power Generation<\/li>\n<li>International sales\/business development<\/li>\n<li>Selling services<\/li>\n<li>Logistics and\/or industrial construction<\/li>\n<li>Strategic analysis; Heavy lift knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the Nigerian market<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Skills and Abilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fluent English Speaker<\/li>\n<li>Collaboration skills<\/li>\n<li>Negotiation &amp; Persuasion skills<\/li>\n<li>Project Management Skills<\/li>\n<li>Computer skills<\/li>\n<li>Business Intelligence<\/li>\n<li>Strategic and analytical skills<\/li>\n<li>Creative and Innovative<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Personal Attributtes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Self-starter<\/li>\n<li>Professional presentation<\/li>\n<li>Influencer\/impact<\/li>\n<li>Negotiator<\/li>\n<li>Resilient<\/li>\n<li>Organized<\/li>\n<li>Pro-active and taking initiative<\/li>\n<li>Target driven\/competitive<\/li>\n<li>Effective communicator<\/li>\n<li>Able to inspire others<\/li>\n<li>Drive change<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Eligible to work in Sub-Saharan Africa<\/li>\n<li>Valid passport<\/li>\n<li>Willing to travel<\/li>\n<li>International driving licence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nHow to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/jobsearch.ale-heavylift.com\/jobs\/job\/Business-Development-Manager-Nigeria\/4544?source=LinkedIn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click here to apply<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>10th October, 2017.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ALE is an engineering specialist.
