KNCV is an international center of excellence for TB control that promotes effective, efficient, innovative and sustainable tuberculosis control strategies in a national and international context. Our multidisciplinary team of passionate professionals covers a broad range of expertise such as programmatic TB control, research, clinical management, social science, education, digital health, and project management.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Regional Account Officer<br \/>\nLocation<\/strong>: Akwa Ibom<br \/>\n<strong>Job Type:<\/strong>\u00a0Full-time<br \/>\n<strong>Purpose of the Position<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In the position of Regional Account Officer you keep accurate, complete and up-to-date office records for KNCV, as well as to provide general support to the senior accountant at the central office in Abuja.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nAs a Regional Account Officer you will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Check and assign codes to all financial documents<\/li>\n<li>Enter all financial documents into the accounting system<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and process payments in the banking system<\/li>\n<li>Monitor all advance accounts and reports outstanding balances to Abuja office on a regular basis<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all project incurred expenses are timely paid, documented and filed<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the annual audit process and related activities<\/li>\n<li>Maintain inventory list of all KNCV Assets<\/li>\n<li>Engage in financial and related tasks as required by the Senior Finance and Admin Officer and the Country Representative<\/li>\n<li>Ensure adherence to all major financial rules and regulations which are described in the KNCV Field Office Manual and operations manual of USAID<\/li>\n<li>Perform other additional duties as assigned by management in relation with project implementation and daily management of the organization.<\/li>\n<li>Engage in financial and related tasks as required by the Senior Finance &amp; Admin Officer and the Country Representative<\/li>\n<li>Ensure adherence to all major financial rules and regulations which are described in the KNCV Field Office Manual and operations manual of USAID<\/li>\n<li>Oversee procurement process on regional level<\/li>\n<li>Maintain the petty cash accounts<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintains an effective professional relationship with KNCV\u2019s local banking institutions.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with all US Government (USG) and KNCV financial management and accounting policies and regulations<\/li>\n<li>Perform other additional duties as assigned by management in relation with project implementation and daily management of the organization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\nEducation:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree (Accounting, Finance and or Business Management)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Knowledge\/experience:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least 4 years of experience in accounting and working in a project setting<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable experience with accounting and financial reporting in USG supported projects<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of relevant accounting software systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Behavioral competencies and skills:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent Excel skills<\/li>\n<li>Must be self-starter with the ability to work in a team, dynamic, solid and open<\/li>\n<li>Must be flexible with absolute integrity, organizational awareness and understanding of cultural differences<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in the use of computer applications (e.g. Microsoft office etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal English language skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What do We Offer?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A full-time (40 hours per week) fixed-term contract for a year, with the intention to extend the contract.
