Using African fabrics, hand-woven materials, and contemporising almost-lost traditional African techniques, Deola designs present a unique vision and attitude for the modern woman.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Business Development Officer<br \/>\nLocation<\/strong>: Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Job Description<\/strong><br \/>\nKey Elements of the role:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Report to the Head, Corporate Strategy<\/li>\n<li>Create and build profitable and successful relationships with clients in the Fashion and Retail communities by marketing and cross-selling all of our service offerings<\/li>\n<li>Manage Budget and cost responsibility<\/li>\n<li>Act as the first port of call for nominated customers<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with customers and in house design\/development teams in order to develop seasonal ranges<\/li>\n<li>Providing customers with accurate and timely sampling, costing, lead-time and delivery Information as needed working with the head office production team<\/li>\n<li>Identify potential new customers\/markets in association with Head of Design and Product Development to develop business<\/li>\n<li>Identify key trends in association with Design and Production teams<\/li>\n<li>Constantly pursue new business opportunities within new companies and markets while collaborating with Account Management partners to strategically expand the existing business<\/li>\n<li>Be in constant communication with prospective clients via cold calls, warm calls, networking events and the use of social media with the goal of generating business opportunities<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with internal team members and strategically leverage the strength and knowledge of the team to determine how to best service accounts<\/li>\n<li>Utilize existing clients and resources to network and build client referrals<\/li>\n<li>Development of strategy and business case pre-launch through roll out<\/li>\n<li>Execution and evaluation of market, competitive analysis, and market positioning of the company<\/li>\n<li>Strategic product planning, positioning, and cost optimization calculations<\/li>\n<li>Establishment and control of the product development processes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements, Skills &amp; Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree\/HND in Business Administration, Marketing or any other relevant discipline with 4 years demonstrable experience in the same capacity<\/li>\n<li>MBA and\/or Professional financial certification will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Membership with Fashion Institutes<\/li>\n<li>Innovative and forward thinking, with a track record of executing new ideas<\/li>\n<li>Excellent organisational skills<\/li>\n<li>High level of attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Good problem solving and decision making skills<\/li>\n<li>Good negotiation and persuasion skills<\/li>\n<li>Experience in the use of ERP<\/li>\n<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills<\/li>\n<li>A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Outlook and Excel.<\/li>\n<li>High affinity for innovative themes and intuition for market trends<\/li>\n<li>Experience in cost and project management<\/li>\n<li>Ability to coordinate external partners<\/li>\n<li>Excellent poise, presence, and presentation skills<\/li>\n<li>Self-starter with mature analytical skills and ability to work under pressure<\/li>\n<li>Ability to handle people, processes and products<\/li>\n<li>Extensive knowledge of International fashion business practices and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Business acumen and understanding of the retail products and business cycle<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of capital structuring<\/li>\n<li>Excellent knowledge in marketing, market research, corporate communications<\/li>\n<li>Experience in set-up and implementation of new business models in the lifestyle sector<\/li>\n<li>Extensive network in fashion and lifestyle<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their CV\u2019s and Cover Letter to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:hr@houseofdeola.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>hr@houseofdeola.com<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline\u00a0<\/strong>12th October, 2017.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Deola Sagoe is a fashion visionary with a unique approach to her craft that has endeared her to fans and followers all over the world.
