Thanks to our people we have continued to deliver growth and exceed expectations in an increasingly complex and challenging marketplace.<\/p>\n<p>Our aim is to become the leading tobacco company in each of our markets by providing excellent products with confidence and responsibility expected of global consumer brands.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Technical Trainee<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Number:<\/strong> 17542BR<br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Ibadan, Oyo<br \/>\nAppointment type: Fixed term<br \/>\nSlot: 24<strong><br \/>\nJob Purpose and Key Deliverables<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>British American Tobacco has an exciting opportunity for 24 Technical Trainees(s) to join our team in Ibadan, in the Production department.<\/li>\n<li>The job purpose is to provide technical support to the Secondary to achieve production targets by ensuring continuous and cost effective operation of machinery through:\n<ul>\n<li>Minimization of unplanned machine related down time<\/li>\n<li>Minimization of raw materials, finished and semi finished product waste<\/li>\n<li>Optimization of spare parts and consumables usage<\/li>\n<li>Implementation and execution of preventative and curative maintenance plan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Main Responsibilites<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimising risk by ensuring compliance with BAT, EH&amp;S and local standards<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that planed volumes and mixes for the shift are\u00a0 achieved<\/li>\n<li>Reducing cost by optimizing the usage of machine consumables and spare parts.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that production administration and quality procedures are continuously followed<\/li>\n<li>Relief Operators and other PTs(APTs) whenever necessary .<\/li>\n<li>Execution of brand\/size\/format changeover in the most efficient manner.<\/li>\n<li>Execute stock taking as prescribed to ensure accurate figures for production planning.<\/li>\n<li>Execute materials tests in order to ensure that standards will be met in future.<\/li>\n<li>Carrying out repairs, settings and adjustments in order to ensure high quality product and optimum machine performance.<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring and reviewing of machinery performance for safety, out put, down time, quality and waste in order to draw and execute action plans for the correction of deviations.<\/li>\n<li>Optimise machine performance by proactively executing daily and weekly maintenance according to BAT prescribed policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Essential Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Basic technical knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Technical diploma<\/li>\n<li>Intermediate level of English<\/li>\n<li>Availability to work in shifts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/krb-xjobs.brassring.com\/tgwebhost\/jobdetails.aspx?jobId=184504&amp;PartnerId=30015&amp;SiteId=5134&amp;type=mail\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click here to apply<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>29th October, 2017.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>British American Tobacco (www.bat.com) is a market leading, global organisation with a long, established history and a bright and dynamic future.
