{"id":44179,"date":"2017-10-30T15:30:18","date_gmt":"2017-10-30T14:30:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=44179"},"modified":"2017-10-29T15:32:47","modified_gmt":"2017-10-29T14:32:47","slug":"action-hunger-new-recruitment-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/action-hunger-new-recruitment-2.html","title":{"rendered":"Action Against Hunger New Recruitment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Action Against Hunger | ACF-International works to save lives by combating hunger and diseases that threaten the lives of vulnerable communities, through nutrition, food security, water and sanitation, health and advocacy.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Field Coordinator<br \/>\nLocation:\u00a0<\/strong>Maiduguri, Borno<br \/>\n<strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You will contribute to ending world hunger by<\/li>\n<li>promoting relevant, needs-based, integrated humanitarian\/recovery programming in line with country strategy, and ensuring proper project cycle management by working closely with program managers under the technical guidance of the Technical Coordinators.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nKey activities in your role will include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Effectively manage and develop Action Against Hunger\u2019s Programming and Strategy in Maiduguri, Western Borno State.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure Safety and Security of Action Against Hunger\u2019s Staff and Assets.<\/li>\n<li>Overall responsibility for Action Against Hunger\u2019s Finance, Human Resources, and Logistics in Borno state.<\/li>\n<li>Field representation of Action Against Hunger and adherence to the Mandate\/Charter\/Principles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\nYou\u2019re an experienced humanitarian professional:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>With a university degree; Masters in humanitarian studies is preferred<\/li>\n<li>Advanced knowledge of international humanitarian guidelines and standards including those of donors<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with respect for diversity, including ability to motivate, train and organize a multi-cultural team<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and under pressure in a rapidly changing professional environment.<\/li>\n<li>Diplomacy and good interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and not lose sight of strategic priorities<\/li>\n<li>Ability and willingness to travel regularly to the field sites<\/li>\n<li>Experience in insecure context<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 5 years of previous experience working with NGOs covering multi-sectoral programming<\/li>\n<li>Proven management and coordination skills (HR, projects, and stress management)<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to translate learning, analysis and evaluation into operational planning and strategy<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and spoken English, including the ability to write clear and engaging reports<\/li>\n<li>Advanced knowledge of international humanitarian principles<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Preferred:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Preferred if previously worked with Action Against Hunger<\/li>\n<li>Experience in conflict-related displacements and nutrition crisis context<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with emergency donors (OFDA, ECHO, UN, DFID, FFP) reporting and regulation<\/li>\n<li>Working experience in Nigeria<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Benefits<\/strong><br \/>\nAction Against Hunger values its employees and offers a comprehensive remuneration and benefits package.
