Our people enjoy a working environment that is dynamic, human and connected, and have a strong focus on creating value for our students and members.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Regional Financial Controller (SSA)<br \/>\nLocation:<\/strong>\u00a0Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reporting to the Finance Director, the role holder will be responsible for the successful interpretation and delivery of insightful financial information to key members of the Markets and Business Services leadership teams, and act as the liaison point between Group Finance and the region.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The Job<\/strong><br \/>\nOn a day to day basis, you\u2019ll be involved in the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and lead all finance activity in the region under the direction of the Finance Director<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the regional Markets and Global Business Services leadership teams, acting as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for all financial and commercial matters<\/li>\n<li>Support the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring that key and relevant business drivers are identified and incorporated into the planning process such that underlying business performance is understood and positively influenced<\/li>\n<li>In conjunction with central finance team, ensure that all statutory reporting requirements are fully complied with, and that ACCA continues to operate in line with local requirements<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all finance and procurement policies and procedures are fully complied with, recommending and implementing improvements as appropriate<\/li>\n<li>As part of the finance leadership team contribute to continuous finance transformation<\/li>\n<li>Provide leadership to finance support staff as appropriate, ensuring that upper quartile delivery is developed and maintained<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with central finance in ensuring that superior and relevant financial reporting is delivered and subsequently interpreting for the business to ensure that the correct business decisions are made<\/li>\n<li>Oversee a robust financial control environment, ensuring that the group control framework is rigorously adhered to<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The Person<\/strong><br \/>\nWe\u2019re looking for the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Holds a relevant professional accountancy qualification with significant post qualification experience<\/li>\n<li>Substantive experience in a commercial Finance leadership role with ability to build relationships, influence and act as an expert partner across the organisation up to Executive level<\/li>\n<li>A highly flexible and considered approach to decision-making in an environment with rapidly shifting priorities and unpredictable demands<\/li>\n<li>Excellent financial and commercial awareness<\/li>\n<li>High level of personal drive and motivation and the ability to progress matters with a significant degree of independence<\/li>\n<li>Adopt a hands-on approach where this is required<\/li>\n<li>Considerable experience working in a complex\/global organisation and leading teams to deliver a high quality service<\/li>\n<li>Extensive experience in leading the financial planning process within an operational environment<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues across cultures and disciplines<\/li>\n<li>A dynamic but measured personality with excellent presentational skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0The Perks<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Working in a largely autonomous, and stakeholder driven role<\/li>\n<li>The chance to play a critical and influential part in our global finance function<\/li>\n<li>Competitive salary and benefits package<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/secure.dc3.pageuppeople.com\/apply\/665\/aw\/applicationForm\/initApplication.asp?lJobID=497549&amp;sLanguage=en&amp;sSourcePointer=aw&amp;lJobSourceTypeID=801\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click here to apply<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ACCA is the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
