The University\u2019s mission is to provide quality education to Nigeria and Africa\u2019s future leaders in order to equip them with the skills needed to solve development issues on the continent, and give them the knowledge needed to create solutions that will benefit their community, their country and, ultimately, the world.<\/p>\n<p>The American University of Nigeria, Yola, is seeking for a suitably qualified candidate to fill the vacant position below, this position is local position and opens to indigenous and\/or legal residents of Nigeria:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Tutle:\u00a0Registered Nurse<br \/>\nLocation:<\/strong>\u00a0Yola, Adamawa<br \/>\nDepartment: AUN Clinic\/New Foundation School<strong><br \/>\nSummary of Position<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Nurses at the AUN Health Center shall work with the team at the Health Center directly under the Chief Administrator AUN health center to provide clinical and medical support for the doctor and to the patients at the AUN health center to ensure the Health &amp; Wellness of NFS students and all other members of the AUN Community.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Position Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nursing Certificate<\/li>\n<li>Valid License to practice\/Nursing registration<\/li>\n<li>Flexible with time<\/li>\n<li>Ability to learn<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Capacity to prioritize by assessing situations to determine urgency.<\/li>\n<li>One(1) to three (5) years of direct work experience<\/li>\n<li>Basic Nursing Ethic<\/li>\n<li>Ability to undertake self-directed tasks when necessary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other Requirements, Abilities for the Position:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Skill in developing and maintaining effective working relationships<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment<\/li>\n<li>Effective verbal and written communication skills along with proper telephone etiquette<\/li>\n<li>Tactfulness and professionalism<\/li>\n<li>Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Description of Benefits<\/strong><br \/>\nSalary and benefits are commensurate with experience and job classification as approved by the University.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nHow to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should submit their resumes, cover letters and references to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:recruitment@aun.edu.ng\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>recruitment@aun.edu.ng<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0The position being applied for should be the subject of the email.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>3rd November, 2017.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The American University of Nigeria was founded in response to the need for a world-class university in sub-Saharan Africa.
