The License enables EMTS provide Fixed Telephony (wired or wireless), Digital Mobile Services, International Gateway Services and National\/Regional Long Distance Services in addition to spectrum assignments in the 900 and 1800 MHz bands.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the vacant position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Manager, CS &amp; PS Core Planning<br \/>\nLocation:<\/strong>\u00a0Abuja<strong><br \/>\nJob Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in the design, planning andoptimisation of circuit switching components of EMTS\u2019s core network, systemsand platforms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Principal Functions<\/strong><br \/>\nTactical:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide input in translatingEMTS business plan and subscriber growth assumptions into requirements for thecore network circuit switching system.<\/li>\n<li>Review the unit\/ team\u2019sactivities, make recommendations for improvement and implement approvedimprovement initiatives to ensure enhanced performance of the team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Operational:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Direct the timely provisioningof the circuit &amp; packet switching network capacity for all the GSM, EDGE,UMTS &amp; LTE elements, features, protocols, interfaces etc.<\/li>\n<li>Provide useful inputs indefining the locations for circuit &amp; packet switch infrastructure and otherrelated network elements<\/li>\n<li>Scoping &amp; dimensioning ofdatacoms equipment within the Core network<\/li>\n<li>Lead optimisation &amp;resilience initiatives across the Core Network<\/li>\n<li>Drive innovation initiativesacross the Core network<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate the unit\u2019sactivities and ensure compliance with the organisation\u2019s operating policies,controls and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Manage inter-functionalrelations to ensure synergy across the various departmental functions.<\/li>\n<li>Provide leadership andguidance to team members and manage subordinate\u2019s performance towards theachievement of overall team objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Design, plan and dimensioncircuit &amp; packet switching network elements to ensure optimal use anddeployment of resources<\/li>\n<li>Define and direct therequirement for capacity planning of interfaces\/links to the VAS &amp; ITnetworks<\/li>\n<li>Perform technicalinvestigations into areas related to circuit &amp; packet switching networkdesign and performance, such as new types of hardware, new designmethodologies, new caching algorithms, impact of new technologies (GPRS, EDGE,UMTS, LTE etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Perform any other duties or responsibilities assigned by Head,Core and VAS<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Educational Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First degree in Electrical orElectronics Engineering\/Physics or Computer Sciences froma recognised University<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Experience,Skills &amp; Competencies:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Six (6) to Eight(8) years\u2019 work experience with at least three (3) years in a supervisory role<\/li>\n<li>BusinessApplication Knowledge<\/li>\n<li>TelecommunicationsTechnology Fundamentals<\/li>\n<li>Telecommunications&amp; Mobile Network Standards &amp; Specifications<\/li>\n<li>Budget &amp;basic financial planning<\/li>\n<li>Great Passionfor Excellence<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivated<\/li>\n<li>Innovative<\/li>\n<li>Integrity<\/li>\n<li>Empoweringpeople<\/li>\n<li>Growingpeople<\/li>\n<li>Team work<\/li>\n<li>Customer Focus<\/li>\n<li>Traffic trendanalysis<\/li>\n<li>Basic productdevelopment<\/li>\n<li>ProblemSolving<\/li>\n<li>Teaming<\/li>\n<li>Communication<\/li>\n<li>Analyticreasoning<\/li>\n<li>Reporting&amp; presentation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/careers.9mobile.com.ng\/OA_HTML\/OA.jsp?page=\/oracle\/apps\/irc\/candidateSelfService\/webui\/VisVacDispPG&amp;OAHP=IRC_EXT_SITE_VISITOR_APPL&amp;OASF=IRC_VIS_VAC_DISPLAY&amp;akRegionApplicationId=821&amp;transactionid=1983862015&amp;p_svid=3064&amp;p_spid=60581&amp;oapc=8&amp;oas=bwcv-dxmJm2hbRxaGVi4gw..\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click here to apply<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>9mobile, is a Nigerian private limited liability company.
