In Nigeria, Mercy Corps has worked since 2012 by focusing its programming on adolescent girls\u2019 empowerment, economic development, conflict mitigation, and humanitarian response.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Interior Designer\u00a0\u2013 Consultancy<br \/>\nLocation:<\/strong>\u00a0Abuja<br \/>\n<strong>Job Description<\/strong><br \/>\nObjectives:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Analyze Mercy Corps\u2019 needs and goals.<\/li>\n<li>Integrate findings with knowledge of interior design, economic trends as well as legal and regulatory requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with other practitioners who offer professional services in the technical areas of mechanical, electrical and structural design, while following Mercy Corps procurement policies.<\/li>\n<li>Formulate design concepts that are functional, fiscally appropriate and aesthetically pleasing.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the interior design process including project budgeting and schedules.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare working drawings and specifications for interior construction, space planning, materials, finishes, furnishings, fixtures and equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Review and evaluate construction during implementation and coordinate the completion of the project with the Mercy Corps team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Timeframe:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mercy Corps seeks to move into the office space in early January. The recommended timeframe is:<\/li>\n<li>Meeting with Mercy Corps stakeholders and senior managers (two days).<\/li>\n<li>Design of layout and office mock-ups (one week).<\/li>\n<li>Bill of quantities and project management plan for design (one week).<\/li>\n<li>Site work (two weeks).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Deliverables:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Meetings with key Mercy Corps Nigeria stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Presentation of layout of new office space, mock-up of office design.<\/li>\n<li>Bill of quantities for recommended office purchases (e.g., furniture, artwork) with recommended suppliers.<\/li>\n<li>Project management plan for office re-design.<\/li>\n<li>Completion of re-design.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates\/companies should send their Expression of Interest (EOI) along with other relevant supporting documentations:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:ng-submissions@mercycorps.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>ng-submissions@mercycorps.org<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Subject for the email should clearly state EOI for \u201cInterior Designer\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Interested companies should be registered to do business in Nigeria and submit copies of their CAC, Tax Clearance Certificate and proof of their ability to provide interior design services.<\/li>\n<li>Submissions after the deadline will not be taken into consideration.<\/li>\n<li>Proposals from companies who did not submit an Expression of Interest will not be evaluated.<\/li>\n<li>All applications must include the position title in the subject line.\u00a0 Only qualified\u00a0 companies who submit all required document will be contacted.<\/li>\n<li>We are an equal opportunity organization and we strongly encourage women to apply for this position.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong>1st December, 2017.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mercy Corps is a leading global organization powered by the belief that a better world is possible.
