We operate across 5 regional offices in Africa namely: Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Cameroun and Ivory Coast.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the vacant position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Global Account Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Ref No:<\/strong> 1700000P<br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Lagos\u00a0<strong><br \/>\nJob Purpose &amp; Rationale<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Global Corporates (GC) redesign initiative aims to position the bank for growth through helping us evolve as the go-to-bank for selected Global Corporates operating in Africa.<\/li>\n<li>GC targets to grow the business while ensuring high-portfolio-quality through well-defined TM &amp; RACs and streamlined credit initiation, monitoring and approval processes.<\/li>\n<li>GAMs will play a pivotal role in this redesign initiative.<\/li>\n<li>GAMs will be selected based on an assessment of their track record of meeting budgets, credit lending skills, industry expertise, regional knowledge and people management skills.<\/li>\n<li>GAMs will be placed in major affiliates in Africa to be close to operating entities, where credit analyst resources, senior oversight and portfolio data are available.<\/li>\n<li>GAMs will be responsible for managing marketing efforts, revenue budgets, credit risk appetite, credit processes including GCA and remedial work where necessary.<\/li>\n<li>GAMs will also act as the Control Unit for respective relationship groups.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Acting as the Control Unit with primary credit responsibility for the relationship group as per bank policy.<\/li>\n<li>Primary senior regional contact for assigned GC relationships groups.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding GC relationship group\u2019s Africa Strategy &amp; Plans.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding customer banking requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Tracking potential deals.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinating marketing efforts across affiliates.<\/li>\n<li>Providing Consent to Approving Units as required.<\/li>\n<li>Credit remedial work where necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Developing account profitability plans and monitoring actual results.<\/li>\n<li>Initial and on-going due diligence.<\/li>\n<li>Parent &amp; Operating Entity Level TM &amp; RAC screening.<\/li>\n<li>Assigning ORRs &amp; FRRs.<\/li>\n<li>Understand parent\u2019s security &amp; support policies.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluating amount, purpose, tenor, structure and security and support requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Determining relationship group level and operating entity level credit limits.<\/li>\n<li>Optimization of aggregate credit risk appetite and ensuring appropriate risk and return trade-offs.<\/li>\n<li>Preparing GCA package in coordination with lending affiliates<\/li>\n<li>Securing approvals for GCA.<\/li>\n<li>Allocating approved credit limits to affiliates.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluating New Deal Greenlight Requests.<\/li>\n<li>Customer Calls &amp; Site Visits.<\/li>\n<li>Tracking industry developments.<\/li>\n<li>Keeping all informed of material developments.<\/li>\n<li>Organizing quarterly conference calls with Coverage Bankers, LAMs &amp; Senior Credit Analysts.<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining aggregate relationship credit files.<\/li>\n<li>Ongoing guidance to LAMs and Credit Analysts.<\/li>\n<li>Developing training plans for LAMs and Credit Analysts.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting initiatives to streamline Portfolio Data Reporting and GCA Processes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<br \/>\n<\/strong>Education:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Marketing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Experience &amp; Personal Attributes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>10 or more year experience of corporate lending including due diligence processes, credit policies, financial analysis, risk rating processes, industry analysis and market understanding.<\/li>\n<li>Proven track record of successful marketing banking products, managing budgets and growing revenues.<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of bank\u2019s credit policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to interact and negotiate on bank\u2019s behalf at senior levels with the customers.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to pull together resources to meet customer needs while at the same time ensuring that credits extension meet bank\u2019s internal criteria and requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Proven track record of managing people including relationship managers and credit analysts.<\/li>\n<li>A team-player with a cooperative working style.<\/li>\n<li>Self-starter
