World Health Organization (WHO) is the directing and coordinating authority for health within the United Nations system. It is responsible for providing leadership on global health matters, shaping the health research agenda, setting norms and standards, articulating evidence-based policy options, providing technical support to countries and monitoring and assessing health trends.<\/p>\n
We are recruiting to fill the positions of:<\/p>\n
The main objective of the post is to assist the\u00a0 implementation of AVADAR in the state through data collation, cleaning and transmission. Supportive supervision and providing on site trainings to HWs and CIs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Description of Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n
\n
Under the overall guidance of the IVE Focal person and over all supervision of Zonal Coordinator and guidance of the\u00a0 state coordinator the\u00a0 AVADAR\u00a0 project assistant\u00a0 will carry out the following specific task:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Coordination:<\/p>\n
\n
Working with the project coordinator to ensure that the data flow and reporting of all health facilities on the project from the field level to the state and eventually to national level.<\/li>\n
Support with data analysis feedback for both weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings<\/li>\n
Perform other responsibilities that may be required of him<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Operations:<\/p>\n
\n
Support the field staff on the data management component of the project<\/li>\n
Support technically in terms of the data and ensure that SOPs are followed in LGA implementation sites<\/li>\n
Support with configuration of phones and resolving issues to end users<\/li>\n
Support the quarterly review meeting of the project<\/li>\n
Provide monthly feedback analysis on the project including tracking information of the project indicators<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n
\n
At least Diploma in Computer Science, Statistics, Data management or related fields.<\/li>\n
Knowledge of data management and PEI data tools will be an added advantage<\/li>\n
At least 3 years\u2019 experience working in PEI,<\/li>\n
Resident in the state of assignment<\/li>\n
Strong verbal and oral communication skills<\/li>\n
Ability to travel within the state. Knowledge or previous work in these state would be an advantage<\/li>\n
Knowledge of local languages would be an advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Education (Essential):<\/p>\n
\n
Diploma in Computer Science, Statistics, GIS or data management related field with additional data management training.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Experience (Essential):<\/p>\n
\n
At least 3 years\u2019 experience in health related data management.<\/li>\n
Experience in quality data collection, analysis, dissemination, and use of health information for program planning and management.<\/li>\n
Experience in database development.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Desirable:<\/p>\n
\n
Working knowledge of statistical application programs (EPI INFO, SPSS, STATA etc.) and mapping programs (HealthMapper, QGIS etc)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Use of language skills:<\/p>\n
\n
Essential: Proficiency in English Language<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
