We focus on preserving the joyfulness of an innocent childhood by upholding the rights of the child as enshrined in the Nigerian Child\u2019s Rights Act and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the positions below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0CAC Shelter Matron<br \/>\nLocation:<\/strong>\u00a0Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Reports to:<\/strong> Assistant Director CAC<strong><br \/>\nContext of the Post<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The CAC Shelter will provide short term shelter to children and their non-offending families where the case management plan indicates this to be the most suitable intervention. Therefore, emotional sustainability, sound partnership practice, verbal and written communication techniques, the ability to form lasting relationships, commitment to working issues through, to be tenacious in working with children and families through establishing small achievable targets are required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The CAC Shelter Matron will be responsible for all staff working within or from the Shelter as identified by the Assistant Director CAC.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Description of Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The post holder will be responsible for managing all aspects of running the Shelter to ensure all children and families are supported and prepared to move on to independent living.<\/li>\n<li>To ensure that high levels of emotional and physical care, appropriate activities, comfortable accommodation and the service of keyworkers are planned, provided and applied in accordance with CAC Shelter policies.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To be responsible for the management, co-ordination and development of a range of quality services for residents referred and\/or accommodated within the home.<\/li>\n<li>To promote the practice of working in partnership with children, their families, other staff within the CAC, and other agencies, in order to meet the required needs.<\/li>\n<li>To provide effective leadership by implementing organisational strategies, in order to enable objectives of the CAC to be achieved.<\/li>\n<li>To promote team development and effective team working.<\/li>\n<li>To maximize the effectiveness of staff through motivation, development and the application of personnel policies.<\/li>\n<li>To take the lead in setting standards and evaluating achievements; to take a proactive role in securing improvements in the quality of services provided by the CAC Shelter.<\/li>\n<li>To contribute to the development of corporate policies and service initiatives, aimed at improving the service provided by the CAC Shelter.<\/li>\n<li>To set and review targets and objectives for the shelter\u2019s staff team in order to ensure that work is focused and has clear direction.<\/li>\n<li>To provide operational management of the staff team and to deploy appropriate staff resources in order that key tasks are fulfilled.<\/li>\n<li>To ensure that sufficient back up resources are available in emergency\/out of hours situations.<\/li>\n<li>To have line management responsibilities for a staff team, ensuring that all staff receive appropriate induction, supervision and appraisal.<\/li>\n<li>To take a lead role in the gate keeping and allocation of a range of services provided to meet identified needs.<\/li>\n<li>To actively participate in recruitment, grievance, disciplinary, health and safety and other staffing matters with support from the Ass. Director.<\/li>\n<li>To ensure that all Health and Safety Regulations are complied with in accordance with the CAC Shelter policies, procedures and practices.<\/li>\n<li>To regularly inspect the condition of the structure, fabric, furnishings and fittings of the building to ensure that all necessary equipment, etc. is in good working order and of a reasonable and acceptable standard of repair.<\/li>\n<li>To ensure that effective finance budgets, control, administration and records comply with the CAC Shelter policies.<\/li>\n<li>To ensure that staff understand and implement the Child Protection Policies.<\/li>\n<li>To undertake any other such duties as required by the Assistant Director.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Common Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nQuality Assurance:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To set, monitor and evaluate standards at individual, team performance and service quality so that the client and centre requirements are met and that the highest standards are maintained.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Communication:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To establish and manage the team communications systems ensuring that the CAC Shelter procedures, policies, strategies and objectives are effectively communicated to all team members.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Professional Practice:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To ensure that professional practice in the team is carried out to the highest standards and developed in line with the CAC Shelter stated objectives of continual improvement in quality of its services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Health and Safety:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To ensure that the Health and Safety policy, organisation arrangements and procedures as they related to areas, activities and personnel under your control are understood, implemented and monitored.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>General Management:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To provide vision and leadership to staff within a specialist team, ensuring that effective systems are in place for workload allocation and management, the application of the CAC Shelter procedures, policies, strategies and objectives, including those relating to equality, supervision and appraisal and all aspects of their performance, personal development, health and welfare.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Financial Management:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To manage a designated budget (as required) ensuring that the CAC Shelter achieves value for money in all circumstances through the monitoring and control of expenditure and the early identification of any financial irregularity.<\/li>\n<li>Confidentiality All members of staff are required to undertake that they will not divulge to anyone personal and\/or confidential information to which they may have access during the course of their work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0CAC Shelter Receptionist\/Admin<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Reports to:<\/strong> CAC Shelter Matron<br \/>\n<strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The post holder will be accountable to the CAC Shelter Matron.<\/li>\n<li>The post holder will be responsible for the management and operations of the lobby and reception area of the CAC Shelter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Context of the Post:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The CAC Shelter will provide short term shelter to children and their non-offending families where the case management plan indicates this to be the most suitable intervention.<\/li>\n<li>Therefore, emotional sustainability, sound partnership practice, verbal and written communication techniques, the ability to form lasting relationships, commitment to working issues through, to be tenacious in working with children and families through establishing small achievable targets are required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide excellent customer service by greeting visitors and callers, organizing and prioritizing large volumes of information, calls and visitors.<\/li>\n<li>Collect, sort, distribute and prepare mail, newspapers, messages or courier deliveries<\/li>\n<li>Manage all security screenings, paperwork and identification for visitors and clients; input any and all relevant data collected from visitors and volunteers into database; monitor security cameras.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate the arrival and departures of all visitors, volunteers and staff.<\/li>\n<li>Communicate necessary operational information to appropriate staff, as directed by the Matron.<\/li>\n<li>Manage information and correspondence with an exceptional level of discretion in accordance with the CAC Shelter confidentiality standards.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a safe and clean reception area by complying with the CAC Shelter policies and procedures;
