It has its headquarters in Wuerzburg, Germany.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting a suitably qualified and experienced person, to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Medical Adviser<br \/>\nLocation:\u00a0<\/strong>Enugu<strong><br \/>\nDuties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide technical support to State Teams in medical and managerial aspects of Leprosy, Tuberculosis (TB) and Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) control in accordance with National guidelines<\/li>\n<li>Participate in operational research, related to Leprosy, TB and NTDs Control<\/li>\n<li>Participate in organization of training at the central level and support training carried out at sub- national level<\/li>\n<li>Participate in preparation of quarterly, Bi-annual and annual progress reports<\/li>\n<li>Participate in preparation of annual plan of action and budget of Leprosy, TB and NTDs Control Programme<\/li>\n<li>Participate in formulation of policies, regulation and technical guidelines related to Leprosy, TB and NTDs Control<\/li>\n<li>Participate in monitoring and evaluation of the Leprosy, TB and NTDs activities\/Programme<\/li>\n<li>Participate in proposal writing in response to external calls for expression of interest<\/li>\n<li>Perform other related tasks as may be assigned by the Medical Coordinator or the Country Representative.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualification &amp; Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>University Degree in Medicine<\/li>\n<li>Postgraduate Degree in Public Health or equivalent<\/li>\n<li>Proven competence in modem training skills and\/or ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of strategies for prevention, treatment and care of HIV\/AIDS<\/li>\n<li>5 years of practical experience in planning, implementing monitoring and evaluating disease prevention and control activities.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent knowledge of the strategies for prevention and control of Leprosy, TB, NTDs or communicable diseases<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge and ability to use computer software for word processing, spreadsheets and basic epidemiological\/statistical analysis<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated abilities for teamwork.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additional Desirable Experience:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in working with bilateral or multilateral organizations in the country<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Remarks<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The post requires extensive travelling for held-work<\/li>\n<li>Female candidates and candidates with disabilities are encouraged to apply<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should submit their CV\u2019s to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:medicaladviser2018@gmail.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>medicaladviser2018@gmail.com<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Interviews will hold at the end of January<\/li>\n<li>If you have applied previously for this post, you need not apply again<\/li>\n<li>Only short-listed candidates will be contacted for interview and test<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>7th January, 2018.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>German Leprosy and TB Relief Association (GLRA) is a not-for-profit, non-sectarian, international non-governmental organisation founded in 1957.
