The project works with LGAs, communities, households and families where children are orphaned or made vulnerable due to HIV\/AIDS and other disabilities. LOPIN 3 works within the context of overall goal of \u201cMitigating the Impact of HIV\/AIDS on Children and Households\u201d The project is implemented by a consortium of 3 local organizations with HIFASS as the lead partner and others including, People-to-people Health Foundation Nigeria (PPHFN), Calabar Arch-Diocesan Action committee on AIDS (CAACA) and Catholic Diocese of Abakaliki Succour and Development Services Initiatives (SUCCDEV).<\/p>\n<p>The project is seeking for the services of a seasoned professional to fill the vacant position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist<br \/>\nLocation:\u00a0<\/strong>Abuja<br \/>\n<strong>Position:<\/strong> M&amp;E Specialist<br \/>\n<strong>Reports to:<\/strong> SI Lead<br \/>\n<strong>Open to:<\/strong> All interested Applicants<br \/>\n<strong>Work Hours:<\/strong> Full-time 40 hours\/week<br \/>\n<strong>Project Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The HITSystem\u00a9 has been designed by GHI to improve prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) and early infant diagnosis (EID) outcomes.<\/li>\n<li>The HITSystem is an innovative online system that facilitates improved communication between clinics, laboratories, and mothers to ultimately improve care for HIV-exposed infants.<\/li>\n<li>The HITSystem plays a comprehensive role in improving the health outcomes of women and children affected by HIV\/AIDS.<\/li>\n<li>Every step of the EID cascade is monitored by the HITSystem to ensure appropriate service at the right infant age to maximize prevention and treatment outcomes, and targets excessive time lags for laboratory test results.<\/li>\n<li>This is a unique opportunity for a committed, creative professional that is passionate about making a lasting difference in the fight against HIV\/AIDS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Essential Job Functions, Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Designing an integrated M&amp;E framework to track the progress of PMTCT and EID outcomes and to identify challenges.<\/li>\n<li>Carrying out monthly quality assurance checks to ensure that entries are clean and those that are incorrect are corrected immediately\/on a monthly basis.<\/li>\n<li>Generating monthly and quarterly reports on PMTCT and EID outcomes for quality assurance.<\/li>\n<li>Oversight and monitoring of HITSystem alerts, i.e. delayed testing, delayed initiation on ART, and retesting alerts.<\/li>\n<li>Visiting facilities with technical challenges of data entry to provide onsite technical support.<\/li>\n<li>Serving as liaison between GHI head office and HJFMRI staff.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Education\/Training Requirement<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hold a bachelor\u2019s degree in a relevant field of study; including M&amp;E, public health, epidemiology, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Prior Work Experience:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least 5 years of M&amp;E experience in international public health, particularly HIV\/AIDS and a combination of relevant trainings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Knowledge and skills:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proficient in use of MS Excel, MS Access and MS Word<\/li>\n<li>Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with key stakeholders, including GHI partners, clinical staff, and local officials to ensure effective collaboration<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to manage complex programs<\/li>\n<li>Experience in designing M&amp;E frameworks<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work on a team and independently<\/li>\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in English.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other Specification:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Candidates must be resident or ready to relocate to
