We own the world\u2019s newest ultra-deep water rig fleet and largest fleet of active premium jackups and are investing billions of dollars in additional drillships and high-specification jackups.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Health Safety Environment Advisor (SHE)<br \/>\nLocation:<\/strong>\u00a0Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ODENL (Ocean Deep ESV Nigeria Limited) a joint venture company between OES and Ensco PLC is seeking to employ a SHE Advisor in Lagos at the ODENL office.<\/li>\n<li>The primary function of this role is to provide support relating the company\u2019s extensive safety management system to ODENL offshore drilling facilities.<\/li>\n<li>The individual must have excellent communication skills, previous experience in the offshore drilling industry in a similar position,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Relationships:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The position will report directly to the ODENL SHE Manager and MEAAP (Middle East Africa Asia) business unit SHE Manager.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Essential Responsibilities and Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform periodic inspections of the offshore drilling rig and support the rig STC<\/li>\n<li>Perform rig clinic audits and emergency preparation and medical case management<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance of the safety management system in all related safety processes.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor via the STC all rig safety\u00a0 \/ rescue equipment and the management thereof<\/li>\n<li>Monitor rig compliance related to Hazardous substances, Environmental and waste management<\/li>\n<li>Monitor rig Emergency Preparedness, Drills and exercises and crisis management processes<\/li>\n<li>Develop positive client relationships and attend all operational or safety related meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Review Safety Cases, and Bridging documents<\/li>\n<li>Investigate the incident in conjunction with the rig manager using the TapRoot\u00ae software<\/li>\n<li>Monitor Formal STOP\u201d Observation (FSO) with the STC and the use of STOP Data Pro<\/li>\n<li>Audit and track to closure all safety related actions via OAP, Synergi, and onboard CAR tracker<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and understand all Ensco SHE Policies, Standards and Procedures<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and coach SSoW on the rig and at the office.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and apply for all required National regulatory licenses and inspections related to DPR, NNRA, NAA and other regulatory bodies<\/li>\n<li>Review and or develop rig specific procedures. i.e. Rescue Plans<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Education<\/strong><br \/>\nMandatory for this position:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nebosh International General Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or OSHA equivalent qualifications or combination thereof. (i.e. 9001, 14001. 18001)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Not mandatory but will favor application:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nebosh certificate or Diploma in Environmental Management<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Investigation Team Leader TapRoot\u00ae certification.<\/li>\n<li>ISM Code Lead Internal Auditor<\/li>\n<li>Emergency Medical Qualifications<\/li>\n<li>Nebosh International Technical certificate in Oil and Gas Operational Safety<\/li>\n<li>Nebosh Fire Safety and Risk Assessment Certificate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Experience:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Five years or more previous experience in the Offshore Oil and Gas industry in a similar position or as a safety professional employed on an offshore drilling rig.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Minimum Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nigerian national<\/li>\n<li>Registered with Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria.
