{"id":46992,"date":"2018-01-22T10:19:31","date_gmt":"2018-01-22T09:19:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=46992"},"modified":"2018-01-22T10:19:31","modified_gmt":"2018-01-22T09:19:31","slug":"medecins-du-monde-new-position-available-send-cvs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/medecins-du-monde-new-position-available-send-cvs.html","title":{"rendered":"M\u00e9decins du Monde New Position Available &#8211; Send In Your CVs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>M\u00e9decins du Monde or Doctors of the World, is an international humanitarian non-profit organization that provides emergency and long-term medical care to vulnerable populations while advocating for equal access to healthcare worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0General Coordinator Assistant<br \/>\nLocation:<\/strong>\u00a0Borno<br \/>\n<strong>Line Manager:<\/strong> General Coordinator<br \/>\n<strong>Length of contract:<\/strong> 6 months<br \/>\n<strong>Possibility for extension:<\/strong> YES<br \/>\n<strong>Starting date:<\/strong> ASAP<br \/>\n<strong>Job Tasks<\/strong><br \/>\nUnder the supervision of the General Coordinator, and in technical link with all departments\u2019 coordinators, the General Coordinator Assistant will be responsible for the following activities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Internal and external coordination, organization of meetings with authorities including traditional leaders,<\/li>\n<li>Liaison with authorities about MDM programs in Nigeria,<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring of context in Nigeria with a focus on Borno and neighboring states,<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring on alerts about opportunities of emergency interventions, Reporting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in similar position for at least 2 years<\/li>\n<li>Background in:University degree in Anthropology, Sociology or degree in studies in journalism \/ mass communication or humanitarian \/ development<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of Maiduguri and Borno State area as well as northeastern crisis.<\/li>\n<li>Experience dealing with government officials &amp; traditional authorities preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Must be pro-active and a self-starter, able to use initiative and propose solutions<\/li>\n<li>Excellent skills in Microsoft Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint,)<\/li>\n<li>Ability to prepare info-graphics is desirable<\/li>\n<li>Mobile, ready move with General Coordinator or an Emergency Team to set up activities<\/li>\n<li>Flexibility, problem-solving, being diplomatic<\/li>\n<li>Team player<\/li>\n<li>Experience in the humanitarian sector strongly preferred<\/li>\n<li>Place of office: MAIDUGURI with some travels inside the state and to Abuja<\/li>\n<li>Ladies are encouraged to apply.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written skills in English<\/li>\n<li>Strong sense of responsibilities and organization skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong work ethic and rigour<\/li>\n<li>Languages (spoken and written): English, Hausa required, Kanuri an advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should submit a two-page Curriculum Vitae, three work-related references and one-page cover letter, in One Document -MS Word or PDF explaining how your skills and experience match the job requirements stated above to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:recruitment.nigeria@medecinsdumonde.net\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>recruitment.nigeria@medecinsdumonde.net<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0, write the job title and your name in the subject line.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Only applications by email will be considered<\/li>\n<li>Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted<\/li>\n<li>We are unable to accept phone calls.<\/li>\n<li>We\u2019ll pay attention only to the complete files in English.<\/li>\n<li>Our process of selection include some written tests and oral interviews.<\/li>\n<li>Please notice that if you have not heard from MdM within 2 weeks, you should presume you were not short listed for this position.
