Customs Brokeage removals and Procurement Services to firms in the Country.<\/p>\n<p>We are currently seeking to engage a Senior Accountant to join our team.<\/p>\n<p>Previous experience of\u00a0proper management and coordination of budgeting and management reporting with knowledge of best practices in Financial management and reporting will be an advantage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Senior Accountant<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Co-ordinate the department\u2019s activities and ensure compliance with the Organisation\u2019s strategy and operating policies, controls and procedure<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Contribute to the alignment of the department\u2019s activities with leading practices on an ongoing basis<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Co-ordinate the budget preparation, monitoring and control process, in line with agreed policies and procedures including;<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Develop, review and circulate annual business planning guidelines\/ assumptions to all departments;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Compile all inputs into the budget from all departments and prepare detailed budget for management review and approval;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Analyse budget performance and identify and obtain explanations for significant variances;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Make relevant contributions to Kerildbert\u2019s cash forecasting and long range financial planning<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain a budget\/ commitment tracking system for the various companies within the business<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Develop, review and update monthly, quarterly and yearly financial forecasts and ratio analysis<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Ensure timely generation of periodic reports for use by management for strategic decision making<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Ensure collaboration\/interface with other departments to generate relevant and adequate data for developing management reports<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Monitor, analyse and report on the company\u2019s operating costs and expenditure.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Develop and implement cost control\/ management strategies and system to ensure optimal utilisation of available financial resources.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Coordinate the periodic review of costs\/ expenditure, identify and implement cost saving measures.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Plan, co-ordinate and control the financial analysis and evaluation of projects to provide relevant information for management decision making<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Develop relevant financial models and conduct financial analysis on the Company\u2019s performance along defined indicators<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Continually review the department\u2019s activities and make recommendations for improvement to the CEO<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">First degree in Accounting or related discipline<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Professional accounting certification, e.g. ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of six (6) years cognate experience, of which at least four (4) years must be at\u00a0 management level<\/li>\n<li>Experience in strategic financial planning and analysis<\/li>\n<li>Extensive financial and accounting knowledge, including in-depth understanding of finance best practices, International and Nigerian Accounting and\u00a0Financial\u00a0reporting standards<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of the Logistics industry and understanding of trends and developments in accounting for logistics operations<\/li>\n<li>Competence in financial management and administrative functions<\/li>\n<li>Strong strategic orientation, leadership and interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Possess high ethical standards and integrity.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication, business presentation, persuasion, documentation and analytical skills<\/li>\n<li>Intellectually sound i.e. learns quickly, good judgment,
