communities.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the positions below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Internal Auditor<br \/>\nLocation<\/strong>: Borno<br \/>\n<strong>Grade:<\/strong> D1<br \/>\n<strong>Department:<\/strong> Programme Team<br \/>\n<strong>Reports to:<\/strong> Country Director<br \/>\n<strong>Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Under the direct supervision of the Country Director, the Internal Auditor function is responsible for developing, directing, and coordinating a comprehensive internal audit program, which supports improvement of the risk management of Plan International Nigeria<\/li>\n<li>Whilst risk management responsibility is that of the Country management, she\/he is the main instrument for its implementation and improvement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Dimensions of Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Area of Responsibility \u2013 Countrywide.<\/li>\n<li>Located at Country level and reports to Country Director.<\/li>\n<li>Programs and Finance systems, processes for compliance and management information.<\/li>\n<li>Risk Management and support for the proper functioning of all Plan systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Typical Responsibilities \u2013 Key End Results of Position<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate and monitor the Internal Audit function and programs.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in the design, implementation and monitoring of all the processes required in the audit work (annual plan, standard working papers, reporting format and protocols) etc.<\/li>\n<li>Strengthen the Risk Management processes in line with Plan International requirements through facilitation of the country risk management plan of actions, update and monitoring of the country risk register.<\/li>\n<li>Review the current Internal Control Systems for its effectiveness and appropriateness to achieve the Organization\u2019s objectives and report on areas of improvement.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor actions taken by management in response to audit reviews, ensuring that all agreed audit actions and recommendations are accurate and timely implemented.<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with external or visiting auditors and support their audit process.<\/li>\n<li>Analyze all success factors and risks facing the organization, report them to management and provide recommendations for improvement of the risk management and overall Internal Control system.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that audits are performed with due professional care and there are credible audit observations, conclusions and recommendations.<\/li>\n<li>Perform Partner audits to ensure compliance with donor and Plan\u2019s rules and regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Performs other duties, including undertaking complex or sensitive reviews and investigations as assigned.<\/li>\n<li>Adhere to Plan International\u2019s child protection policy to safeguard and protect the child at all times without any report or incident of child abuse.<\/li>\n<li>Support in ensuring Plan\u2019s gender equality policy is adhered to.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure IAP, six months appraisal and annual appraisal are timely completed and documented.<\/li>\n<li>Keep Supervisor informed of any initiative or difficulties relating to the job\u2019s responsibilities.<\/li>\n<li>Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Country Director.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Providing Assurance:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Planning, monitoring and quality review of assurance engagements on key systems, processes, policies and controls carried out at the Country level.<\/li>\n<li>Develop a financial year (FY) work plan for the country\/specific area of work, as agreed with the Country Director that provides assurance on key systems, processes, policies and controls in Plan International Nigeria.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and monitor budget to implement the annual work plan.<\/li>\n<li>Review on-going assurance assignments on the work plan in line with International standards on internal auditing.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare reports to relevant stakeholders on audit engagement assignments undertaken.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor the process of management\u2019s actions in response to audit\/assurance reviews.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Change Management, Management Support and Learning:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Influence change within and across the Organization to strengthen risk management, accountability, effectiveness, and support management in improving operations and to provide a platform for learning across Plan.<\/li>\n<li>Provide practical recommendation on how to improve systems, processes, policies and controls.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitates the sharing of learning, based on best practices or from different units within the Organization as well from best standards and practices from the industry.<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical support in network meetings and other Organizational trainings focusing on risk management and effectiveness of the control framework.<\/li>\n<li>Provides advice to Country Management Team (CMT) on systems, processes and policy reviews, in agreement with the Country Director.<\/li>\n<li>Actively participates in Regional and other leadership meetings to provide strategic input on risk management.<\/li>\n<li>Contributes to the induction of new CMT members upon request on risk management, effectiveness of the control framework and the role of internal audit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Relationship Management:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Builds relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate audit engagements and exchange of knowledge on audit best practices.<\/li>\n<li>Build relationship with key internal stakeholders mainly program unit and country management to facilitate the conduct of quality audit engagements and identify appropriate areas for management support.<\/li>\n<li>Interact with audit functions from local and other INGOs, the donor community to exchange knowledge and learn on assurance best practices and developments in risk management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Dealing with Problems:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensures adherence to the Country\u2019s financial and accounting requirements as per requirements of the Operations Manual (OM) and other organizational policies and procedures to support sound financial management within the \/>\n<strong>Grade:<\/strong> C2<br \/>\n<strong>Department:<\/strong> Programmes<br \/>\n<strong>Reports to:<\/strong> UNICEF Project Manager<br \/>\n<strong>Job Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The purpose of this role is to coordinate and support all Case Management related activities.<\/li>\n<li>The post holder will supervise a team of Case Workers and ensure Plan International Case Management support to vulnerable children meets the inter-agency guidelines for case management and the minimum standards for child protection in humanitarian actions.<\/li>\n<li>The Child Protection Officer\/Case Management Supervisor will be supervised directly by the Project Manager and technically supervised by the CPiE Specialist<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Dimensions of Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Communicates within Plan International Nigeria and with partners and related government institutions.<\/li>\n<li>The post holder will manage the Plan International Case Management activities interfacing with other programme team members.<\/li>\n<li>The post holder will also contribute towards the capacity building of Plan Internationals implementing partners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key End Results and typical Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nProgramme development &amp; Quality Management:<\/p>\n<p>In collaboration with the Field Team, Project Manager and CPiE Specialist, the Child Protection Officer\/Case Management Supervisor will be responsible:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To ensure unaccompanied and separated children and children at risk of being harmed are identified and receive individual case management support by ensuring standard tools and procedures are in place and adhered to by case management team members.<\/li>\n<li>To manage, provide training and technical support to, and build the capacity of the full case management team.<\/li>\n<li>To coordinate with other child protection agencies on case management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Technical Skills:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide technical and management leadership to Case Workers in accordance with best practice and Plan policies, including its child-centered community-based approach.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that solid case management, referral and information management systems are in place for appropriate identification, responses and follow-up for unaccompanied and separated children and children at risk of violence, abuse exploitation and neglect.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure regular communication with Project Manager and CPiE Specialist to integrate appropriate child protection in emergencies priorities in program design<\/li>\n<li>Ensure regular Plan case review meetings and conferences are conducted to reflect on progress and to accommodate the lessons learned and improve case management system accordingly; [participate in Best Interest Determination as appropriate].<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the [Child Protection Database] is set up, regularly updated, analysed for trends in the caseload, and efficiently and confidentially managed in collaboration with the Data Manager [and relevant partner organizations (e.g.<\/li>\n<li>Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, UNHCR, Save the Children and UNICEF)].<\/li>\n<li>Provide support to Family Tracing and Reunification activities in collaboration with implementing agencies<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the identification of alternative care families and children in alternative care receive adequate supervision and follow up.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with other project staff to ensure referrals to other services such as psychosocial support, Mental health and education\/livelihoods interventions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Staff Supervision &amp; Development:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Directly supervises partner NGO Case Workers<\/li>\n<li>Maintain open and professional relations with team members, promoting a strong team spirit and providing oversight and guidance to enable staff to successfully perform in their positions.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure timely completion and submission of regular program and staff reporting and annual performance reviews, as appropriate<\/li>\n<li>Assist with the recruitment of Case Workers.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure training, support and ongoing capacity building opportunities for Case Workers<\/li>\n<li>Provide evaluations on Case Workers performance in accordance with Plan Policies and Guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all Plan policies are upheld, as well as international Minimum Standards for Child Protection, Case Management, and UNHCR Guidelines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Grant Planning &amp; Implementation:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Produce weekly and monthly data and regular narrative reports for different stakeholders and information to feed into donor narrative report<\/li>\n<li>Supports implementation and ensure adherence to monitoring and evaluation plans.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Monitoring &amp; S\/He will facilitate good practice and ensure compliance to applicable implementation of national CMAM guidelines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Main Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plan and organize OTP at designated OTP sites in liaison with SMoH staff and nutrition coordinator.<\/li>\n<li>Work closely care group promoter supervisors, care group promoters and lead mothers to ensure all aspects of the program are understood and agreed and appropriate referrals take place to and from the community to OTP sites.<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with other partners implementing SC for proper referral and monitoring of beneficiaries at SC level<\/li>\n<li>Take lead on the CMAM services at fixed and mobile outreach OTP sites<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with the teams to ensure all children are screened correctly.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all criteria are respected and understood by the teams, including admission, discharge and transfer to and from the OTP\/SC.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure comprehensive health checks and correct clinical diagnosis at the time of assessment according to the CMAM protocols so that the patient receives appropriate treatment in the relevant program.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all children in OTP are immunized according to the national protocols.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure timely identification of complications, non-responders, and referrals to the SC.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure correctness, consistence and completeness of the information in the nutrition registers.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure adequate availability of all medical and food supplies and ensure stock is pre-positioned as planned by discussing with logistics<\/li>\n<li>Through liaison with the community volunteers provide effective follow up of all cases: particularly tracing of children who are absent from the program, sick children, long stay children, children not gaining weight, and children with social problems\u2026 etc.<\/li>\n<li>Provide key health and education messages to beneficiaries based the protocol and guidelines<\/li>\n<li>Respond to inquiries regarding the technical aspects of the program admission and discharge whenever necessary at the OTP sites.<\/li>\n<li>Follow-up and ensure the field team interacts with the beneficiaries properly<\/li>\n<li>Provide a daily and weekly CMAM report to the nutrition coordinator.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualification and Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BA or equivalent in nursing, nutrition, Public Health, or related degree desired<\/li>\n<li>Over one (1) years\u2019 experience in CMAM and IYCF programmes<\/li>\n<li>Valid and current practicing license.
