Its mission is to advance food security, resilience and inclusive economic growth in Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific through innovations in sustainable agriculture. CTA operates under the framework of the Cotonou Agreement and is funded by the EU.<\/p>\n<p>CTA\u2019s envisions agriculture in ACP countries as a vibrant, modern and sustainable business that creates value for smallholder farmers, entrepreneurs, youth and women, and produces affordable, nutritious and healthy food for all.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Social Media Intern<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Internship Background<\/strong><br \/>\nCTA is looking for a highly motivated and result-oriented intern to help update and implement CTA\u2019s social media strategy.<\/p>\n<p>Are you a passionate user of social media? Are you eager to explore new possibilities and new platforms? Are you able to convey engaging messages tailored for different social media platforms? Do you care about rural development and sustainable food security?<\/p>\n<p>If you can answer yes to these questions, CTA can offer you an exciting opportunity to learn and grow professionally in marketing communications. As part of our new digital team, you will be actively engaged in feeding CTA\u2019s social media channels and help the organization use social media widely and effectively. You will work closely with our communications and marketing team to assist in updating and implementing our social media strategy. In addition, you will create and post content, animate discussions and participate in content planning. You will interact with other CTA staff to get content and verify accuracy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties &amp; Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nUnder the guidance and supervision of the Marketing &amp; Communication Programme Coordinator, you will be responsible for the following activities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in updating and implementing CTA\u2019s social media strategy;<\/li>\n<li>Assist in social media content planning and be responsible for keeping it updated, in line with the overall online content planning;<\/li>\n<li>Research influencers, brands and networking opportunities that are strategic for CTA communication objectives;<\/li>\n<li>Moderate and engage with comments posted on social media keeping in line with CTA\u2019s corporate tone and messages;<\/li>\n<li>Engage with all incoming messages on all platforms;<\/li>\n<li>Update CTA\u2019s corporate social media accounts (currently Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram in English and French) and visuals;<\/li>\n<li>Update YouTube and Vimeo; edit videos and add subtitles;<\/li>\n<li>Support CTA staff and interns in using social media tools in relation to their activities; propose easy-to-use supporting material;<\/li>\n<li>Keep track on performance on social media and produce monthly reports;<\/li>\n<li>Contribute content for blogs, CTA event websites and e-newsletters when required;<\/li>\n<li>Support the team in quality control of the event calendar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>National of one of the ACP or EU States signatory to the Cotonou Agreement (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.acp.int\/content\/secretariat-acp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">79 African, Caribbean and Pacific States<\/a>\u00a0and the European Union Member States).<\/li>\n<li>University (or similar institution of higher education) degree in digital communication, marketing or related discipline.Recent graduate, between 21 and 29 years old (maximum).<\/li>\n<li>Experience in social media.<\/li>\n<li>Strong written communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure with focus and to meet tight deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent working knowledge of English (both written and oral).\u00a0Knowledge of French would be an asset.<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to work flexible hours if needed to cover key events in other time zones (e.g. Pacific Islands or Caribbean).<\/li>\n<li>Interest in and knowledge of international development is also an asset.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participation in CTA activities will give you an invaluable experience at international level.<\/li>\n<li>Internship stipend (\u20ac 800 per month for holder of a Bachelor\u2019s degree, \u20ac 1,000 per month for holder of a Master\u2019s degree).<\/li>\n<li>Payment of travel costs when joining and leaving the Centre.<\/li>\n<li>Medical coverage for emergency cases of sickness and accident, for the duration of the internship.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nQualifying candidates are required to send their application via email or mail to Christ\u00e8le Coutureau, Human Resources Officer.
