Title:\u00a0Nigeria Election Violence Report (NEVR) Project (RFA-18-020) Since 1987, IFES has worked in over 145 countries\u2013from developing democracies, to mature democracies.<\/p>\n Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n Scope of Work<\/strong> IFES has partnered with local CSOs since 2006 to carry out its Nigeria Election Violence Report (NEVR) project \u2013 through which the capacity of CSOs is built to monitor, analyze and advocate against issues of electoral violence during election periods (pre, during and post-election). In a continuation of this project for the Ekiti and Osun gubernatorial elections, IFES may issue a sub-grant and provide training to a local CSO to identify, train and deploy monitors across all the Local Government Areas of Ekiti and Osun States to monitor, analyze and respond to incidents of electoral violence. \nAs part of its program activities in the lead up to the July 14 and September 22, 2018, Gubernatorial Elections in Ekiti and Osun States, respectively, IFES hopes to provide a sub-grant to a local Civil Society Organization (CSO) to carry out a project to monitor electoral violence and promote peaceful elections. The successful CSO will identify, train and deploy monitors across all the Local Government Areas of Ekiti and Osun states to monitor, analyze and respond to incidents of electoral violence. Findings will be reported on the existing NEVR website maintained by IFES. Advocacy for peaceful elections is also an important part of this project.<\/p>\n\n
