The company has deployed state-of-the-art technology that includes 3G services such as High Speed Internet, Video Conference etc. In a bid to expand and maintain this technology, it requires the services of experienced personnel with significant experience in 3G. Globacom Nigeria recruits<strong> 3G Technical Head (Ref: 3GTH)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This position attracts internationally competitive remuneration packages.<\/p>\n<p>GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Electronics or Telecommunications Engineering or related discipline.<\/li>\n<li>Relevant post graduate degree will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Experience:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum 10 years experience in the Telecom industry with at least 5 years of work experience as technical expert supporting a 3G network.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent understanding of 3G network architecture, performance and quality enhancing features.<\/li>\n<li>Solid working experience in 3G network operations at all levels.<\/li>\n<li>In-depth knowledge and application of relevant IP and 3GPP technical specifications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Required Skills:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Highly analytical with troubleshooting skills.<\/li>\n<li>Management skills, including team leading skills.<\/li>\n<li>Coaching and training on the job of subordinates.<\/li>\n<li>Presentation skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>End-to-end 3G network performance and management.<\/li>\n<li>Leading a team of 3G support engineers and coordination with 2G\/3G core network and 2G\/3G VAS teams.<\/li>\n<li>Defining installation, integration and acceptance testing requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Defining preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Validation and introduction of new features into the 3G network.<\/li>\n<li>Interface with equipment and services suppliers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a title=\"Globacom Nigeria Jobs by Joblist Nigeria\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gloworld.com\/Nigeria\/CareerVacancy\/Details\/585\">Click here to apply online for this vacancy<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Globacom Limited is Nigeria\u2019s Second National Operator in GSM, Fixed, Broadband and Gateway with subsidiaries in Republic of Benin and Ghana.
