Logistics Manager\/Officer the establishment and maintenance of a functional procurement and supply chain management system.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure with the Procurement Logistics Manager\/Officer the timely and appropriate establishment of all logistics infrastructure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Human Resource Development:<\/strong><br \/>\nSupports the Country HR Manager in recruitments processes as required, strengthening administrative records, documentation and controls and builds capacity of partner and program<br \/>\nstaff.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Learning and Knowledge Management:<\/strong><br \/>\nShares relevant administrative and programmatic information with the Program team and support the proper documentation of all transactions on the projects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Resource Mobilization:<\/strong><br \/>\nSupport resource mobilization efforts through contribution to budget preparation for proposal writing and related engagement.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dealing with Problems:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Use Plan procedures to settle conflicts among colleagues;<\/li>\n<li>Resolve problems that are not covered by the established process.<\/li>\n<li>Analyse possible causes of problems and suggest solutions to get them resolved.<\/li>\n<li>Refer, whenever necessary, the case to the Admin Manager for consideration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Communications and Working Relationships:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare and submit relevant administrative project reports for domestic consumption.<\/li>\n<li>Provide timely responses concerning administrative queries linked with relevant projects or<\/li>\n<li>programmes.<\/li>\n<li>Report to the Head of Programs &amp;amp; Date February 2018<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reports to Emergency Response Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Purpose:<\/strong>\u00a0The GBV\/Gender Technical Advisor will support the emergency response team in developing and scaling up Plan International GBV response and will serve as<br \/>\nthe key technical person in ensuring that all Plan International Nigeria response program are gender transformative. The post holder will support capacity<br \/>\nbuilding of response staff and local partner organizations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dimensions of Role<\/strong><br \/>\nPlan International believes that gender inequality and Gender-based Violence (GBV) affect our programs thus our ability to effectively protect and promote the children\u2019s rights including those of women and adolescents, therefore<br \/>\nseek to be gender transformative in our program design and implementation in our humanitarian response. Gender Equality is a priority cross-cutting theme within Plan International and the GBV\/Gender Technical Advisor will support<br \/>\nthis effort in driving this work forward. The GBV\/Gender Technical Advisor will provide dedicated technical support to integrate gender and GBV in Plan International North East Nigeria response. The role requires a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.<\/li>\n<li>Key End Results and typical Responsibilities Programme development &amp;amp; Quality Management<\/li>\n<li>Support the set up and implementation of a Beneficiary Complaint and Response Mechanism for humanitarian projects<\/li>\n<li>Receive calls on the toll free line<\/li>\n<li>Provide adequate response and referral for the callers<\/li>\n<li>Ensure a proper filing system for all the complaints and feedback received through the helplines<\/li>\n<li>Provide detailed summaries of complaints issues to line manager for operational meetings and forums<\/li>\n<li>With the support of the line manager identify complaint and other feedback trends which indicate where the Programs can improve.<\/li>\n<li>Support the community mobilization and M&amp;amp;E officers the management and analysis of other sources of complaints such as suggestion boxes, community meetings etc<\/li>\n<li>Provide reports as requested concerning complaints received from the helpline<\/li>\n<li>Receive, investigate and respond to beneficiary complaints under the direction and supervision of Program\/field Managers<\/li>\n<li>Follow up on complaints and feedback internal referrals with appropriate offices and sectors and respond to raised pending issues<\/li>\n<li>Negotiate suitable resolutions to complaints with the beneficiaries under the direction of the<\/li>\n<li>Program\/Field Manager<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Bringing hearts and minds together for children<\/p>\n<p><strong>Human Resource Development<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support in strengthening program &amp;amp; administrative records, documentation and control for the humanitarian unit.<\/li>\n<li>Learning and knowledge management<\/li>\n<li>Shares relevant information with the Humanitarian Unit and support the proper documentation of all transactions on the projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Resource Mobilisation<\/strong><br \/>\nSupport resource mobilization efforts through contribution to budget preparation for proposal writing and related engagement for the humanitarian unit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dealing with Problems<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Use Plan procedures to settle conflicts among colleagues;<\/li>\n<li>Resolve problems that are not covered by established process.<\/li>\n<li>Analyse possible causes of problems and suggest solutions to get them resolved.<\/li>\n<li>Refer, whenever necessary, the case to the Project Manager and other relevant parties for consideration.<\/li>\n<li>Communications and Working Relationships:<\/li>\n<li>Working contacts inside and outside the organization; include the purpose and level (high, medium, low) of the contact<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and submit relevant programmatic and administrative\/logistics reports for domestic consumption.<\/li>\n<li>Work with team to gather timely responses concerning programmatic queries linked with relevant projects or programmes.<\/li>\n<li>Report to the Project Manager or delegate;<\/li>\n<li>Work amicably with other members of the Plan International Nigeria team including finance, administration, procurement committee and the humanitarian team in Abuja,<\/li>\n<li>Adamawa and Borno states to ensure effective and efficient programme delivery.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours Required to Achieve Role\u2019s Objectives:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Knowledge<\/strong>:<br \/>\n<strong>Qualifications and Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A BSc orHND in related area Economics, Commerce, Public or Business administration courses.<\/li>\n<li>At least 1year practical work experience in similar role.<\/li>\n<li>Skills &amp;amp; Knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Ability to communicate in English, Hausa and Kanuri<\/li>\n<li>Basic programmatic and administrative skills<\/li>\n<li>Communicates clearly and effectively<\/li>\n<li>Possession of good report writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Passion for learning and development.<\/li>\n<li>Good computer literacy skills.<\/li>\n<li>Team player<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Behaviours:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provides good and adequate administrative support to enable the humanitarian projects meet<\/li>\n<li>agreed program outcomes.<\/li>\n<li>Actively seeks for support in addressing difficulties in execution of duties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Environment and Demands<\/strong><br \/>\nBased in Maiduguri which is a high security volatile area<\/p>\n<p><strong>Level of Contact with Children:<\/strong><br \/>\nMedium contactthe job responsibilities of this position require the post holder to have some<br \/>\ncontact with children.
