The company collects EEE and e-waste and ensures that such material is recycled in an environmentally responsible manner. The recycling business has a major impact on the communities we operate in, contributing significantly to a cleaner environment and creating jobs.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position of:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Head of Engineering<br \/>\nLocation:<\/strong>\u00a0Ilupeju, Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The company is currently conducting pilots on the collection, reuse and recycling of e-waste. In order to scale-up our operations the company has established a 7,000m2 recycling facility in the centre of Lagos for the disassembling of EEE and processing of e-waste in accordance with international best practices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>As Head of Engineering, you have the complete-end-to-end responsibility of the operating model of Green Compass Recycling, which includes responsibility for all of our processes, designs of the network and facilities.<\/li>\n<li>You will lead the engineering team, which works to ensure continuous increase in efficiency through improved setup, facilities, processes, training of staff, and monitoring and ensuring compliance.<\/li>\n<li>You also ensure that all of our operational setups comply with the international best practices in terms of health and safety standards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Major responsibilities includ<\/strong>e:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure efficient design of the whole recycling network \u2013 setup of processes, designs of facilities;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure alignment of designs with strategic vision of the company;<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and deliver staff training for process compliance;<\/li>\n<li>Monitor process implementation and proactively propose mitigation actions in case of issues;<\/li>\n<li>Oversee continuous improvement in all operational areas.<\/li>\n<li>Lead the engineering team and build engineering skills as a core competency of the company;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure availability and organisation of all layout plans, process designs, training materials, etc.;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Engineering background, M.Sc level degree in Engineering or another science field (e.g. mathematics, physics);<\/li>\n<li>Excellent oral, written, and mathematical abilities;<\/li>\n<li>Highest ethical standards;<\/li>\n<li>Entrepreneurial and leadership aspirations, ability to work in team.<\/li>\n<li>At least 5 years of work experience in related job role;<\/li>\n<li>At least 2 years managerial experience with direct reports;<\/li>\n<li>Qualification in Lean Six Sigma or similar;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Opportunity to work in a forward-looking, innovative company, with international group of colleagues;<\/li>\n<li>Unlimited career opportunities \u2013 depending on achievements and personal development;<\/li>\n<li>A competitive salary and benefits package with a long-term prospect in a fast-growing company.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<br \/>\n<\/strong>Interested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/workable.com\/j\/03D01B1CE8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click here to apply<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Green Compass Recycling is a company within the Sunray Ventures group of companies, set up to address the adverse environmental and health implications of the mismanagement of electronic and electrical&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[24],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Green Compass Recycling New Job Alert!
