To do this, Altara and its dedicated team seek to tackle a critical challenge in Africa \u2013 access to payment solutions that make product prices more digestible.<\/p>\n<p>Our debut service is \u201cbuy now, pay later\u201d where we allow formal &amp; informal sector workers, and SME owners purchase a variety of products and equipment for their homes and businesses but instead of paying for the products in full upfront, pay small amount overtime.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Internal Operations Lead<br \/>\nLocation<\/strong>: Lagos<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are looking to hire an \u201cInternal Operations Lead\u201d.\u00a0 This is a role where you will report directly to senior management.<\/li>\n<li>In this capacity you will be responsible for the majority of the purchasing functions, carrying out internal audits to ensure smooth operations and process improvement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Building relationships with the key suppliers for the products that we sell at the store \u2013 local suppliers \u2013 get the best price so we can get the widest margin.<\/li>\n<li>Finding a diversity of sources \u2013 for products so that we can get a consistent supply to management.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring the smooth operation of store.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring the smooth operation of delivery and collections.<\/li>\n<li>Devising strategies to improve processes to prevent lag.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting the president with strategic planning and key decision making on operations.<\/li>\n<li>Setting up and track key performance indicators across all operating functions and put together reports for the President.<\/li>\n<li>Creating a well-defined process map for activities related to customer purchases and delivery.<\/li>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree from accredited university or college.<\/li>\n<li>5 years experience of experience managing and operating brick and mortar retail outlets.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to take initiative and has a high sense of urgency, to handle priorities with accuracy and efficiency while meeting deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to solve them<\/li>\n<li>Commitment to process improvement.<\/li>\n<li>Must be extremely customer-centric with strong attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and in-person interpersonal, communication and persuasion skills.<\/li>\n<li>Team oriented, great at time management, multitasking skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send the following below to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:recruitment@altaracredit.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>recruitment@altaracredit.com<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your resume (1 page max).<\/li>\n<li>A short paragraph as to why you are interested in the role (Half a page).<\/li>\n<li>In 5 bullet points, choose 5 individual responsibilities (listed above) and express why you would excel in the role with an example of a project you have completed in the past to support each point.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>8th March, 2018.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At Altara, our mission is simple: to improve the lives of Nigerians.
