This is why we provide Lean Manufacturing (Toyota Production System) service which is a way of identifying and focusing on value creation and getting rid of stuff (wastes) that doesn\u2019t contribute to value in operations through continuous improvement for doing everything more efficiently, reducing the cost of operating the system and fulfilling the customers desire for maximum value at the lowest price<\/li>\n<li>Our growth is driven by delivering real results for our clients. If you\u2019re as passionate about your future as we are, join our team.<\/li>\n<li>Glodaris is currently seeking an Associate, Operational Excellence (Lean Manufacturing) for our Lean Management Consulting practice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead projects and coordinate team activities to complete company goals and initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Track and report on measurable assigned by supervisor.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate the employee involvement program.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in coaching and training of clients employees on shop floor on lean concepts (standard work, one piece flow etc.) to facilitate culture change while developing our clients\u2019 internal competencies.<\/li>\n<li>Lead cultural change and continuous improvements<\/li>\n<li>Participate in building our clients\u2019 capability by creating daily management and daily kaizen systems that will self-sustain (principle 1 of the Toyota Way)<\/li>\n<li>Participate in client service delivery teams in the active execution of engagements in compliance with firm and practice unit service delivery standards<\/li>\n<li>Utilize functional and industry knowledge to identify complex client issues<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the development and evolution of methodologies and intellectual capital including contributing to articles, whitepapers, and training efforts.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for providing guidance to clients<\/li>\n<li>Represent Glodaris at meeting clients all over Nigeria<\/li>\n<li>Travel may be up to 60-80%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Major Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>MS-Office \u2013 computer navigation knowledge, including Excel and PowerPoint<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivated individual<\/li>\n<li>Team Skills \u2013 Individual needs to be strongly self-motivated and must be open to working as a team to be most effective. This requires open and honest communication with team members and Management, and a respect for everyone is a \u201cMUST\u201d. You must make everyone feel they are a key part of the team, and that you have their best interests in mind along with that of the company<\/li>\n<li>Desires to Solve Problems \u2013 Problems are to be sought out and solved. Solving problems using the scientific method is the cornerstone to Lean philosophy. Good problem solving skills, and a desire to go beyond the symptoms to find the root cause of a problem are essential and part of the deeper learning and \u201cLean Thinking\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Good Active Listening Skills \u2013 Individual needs to listen closely to the people that are involved in a problem, for what they have to say. Not considering what people who touch the problem have to say, and not including them in the improvement effort, will result in us not considering all the facts that pertain to a problem, and will result in a lack of engagement by the people who need to implement changes.<\/li>\n<li>Analytical \u2013 Individual has the ability to make decisions based on data not assumptions. Follow \u2013up is a critical characteristic of the individual. Be results oriented and desire personal accountability<\/li>\n<li>Tenacity \u2013 Individual needs to stick to a project for the long-haul. Lean Manufacturing is not easy and can be different than the current belief window of the people in authority. Problem solving must be carried out to \u201croot cause\u201d not just \u201cdirect cause\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Hands-On \u2013 The best way to learn and teach is on the shop floor, or \u201cat the actual situation\u201d. Getting your hands dirty at work is a good thing. (e.g. more than 40% of your time must be spent on the production floor)<\/li>\n<li>Learn from Mistakes \u2013 Mistakes are inevitable. Learn from them so the same mistake is not made again. \u201cSmart People learn from their own mistakes, Wise People learn from other\u2019s mistakes.\u201d Emphasize to the team that mistakes do not equate to failure and a stoppage of the continuous improvement effort, but is a positive and valuable step in the learning process. Failures will happen. Not letting them stop you from trying again until you get it right, is the best approach.
