The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>He\/She must understudy the Second and Third Engineer Officers. He\/She must keep an Engine Room watch.<\/li>\n<li>He\/She is responsible for the safely of all personnel working under his\/her supervision<\/li>\n<li>He\/She is responsible for maintenance and upkeep of the Engine Room safety equipment as directed by the Second Engineer<\/li>\n<li>The Fourth Engineer Officer must keep an engine room watch, or, on UMS ships, must act as duly engineer in rotation<\/li>\n<li>The Fourth Engineer must carry out any lawful command and delegated duty as issued by the Chief Engineer and\/or the Master.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The Person<\/strong><br \/>\nThe right candidate should:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be a Nigerian seafarer<\/li>\n<li>Have a minimum of three months experience on Gas Tanker<\/li>\n<li>Have a minimum of COW Engineering Certificate of Competency (Steam &amp; Motor) issued by a Maritime Agency in any of the underlisted countries.<\/li>\n<li>Be 18 years of age or above.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Mandatory Certificates<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>International Passport<\/li>\n<li>Seaman\u2019s Discharge Book<\/li>\n<li>STCW Mandatories (PSSR, PST, Fire Fighting and Prevention)<\/li>\n<li>STCW Advanced certificates (PSCRB &amp; Advanced Fire Fighting) from any of the underlisted countries<\/li>\n<li>Yellow Fever Card<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Gas Tanker certificate (LNG\/LPG)<\/li>\n<li>Liquefied Natural Gas Endorsement<\/li>\n<li>High Voltage Certificate (operational level)<\/li>\n<li>Gas Tanker Familiarisation<\/li>\n<li>Human Element and Leadership Management (Operational Level)<\/li>\n<li>Medical First Aid<\/li>\n<li>Safely Officer Certificate<\/li>\n<li>Designated Security Duties<\/li>\n<li>Shipboard Security Officer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Other Certificates:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Seafarer Medical Certificate from any of the underlisted countries<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Third Officer<\/strong><br \/>\nRef: NSH\/30\/2018\/02\/001<br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Onboard<br \/>\nJob Grade: Shipboard Officer<br \/>\n<strong>Contract Type:<\/strong> Voyage Contract<br \/>\n<strong>The Job<\/strong><br \/>\nTo provide assistance to the deck team onboard the ship and carry out all duties as prescribed by the master. The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Third Officer understudies and assists the Second Officer.
