{"id":50618,"date":"2018-03-12T12:15:39","date_gmt":"2018-03-12T11:15:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=50618"},"modified":"2018-03-12T12:15:39","modified_gmt":"2018-03-12T11:15:39","slug":"value-alliance-gv-alliance-job","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/value-alliance-gv-alliance-job.html","title":{"rendered":"Value Alliance (GV Alliance) New Job Available"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Growth in Value Alliance (GV Alliance) Partners \u2013 Our client, a Lagos based Bank, is currently recruiting suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Application Developer<br \/>\nLocation<\/strong>: Lagos<strong><br \/>\nDetailed Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The application developer role is a technology-focused role intended to provide software development and analysis services to the group.<\/li>\n<li>This role is best suited to candidates with proven experience building production, commercial-quality web-based solutions with technologies like JAVA, .NET and related technologies and also strong in-depth SQL-Server development experience.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants must be comfortable with advanced SQL syntax, SQL Server development, SQL and Oracle Databases.<\/li>\n<li>The candidate needs to be flexible and open to new ideas or change with the passion and drive to excel in their career.<\/li>\n<li>He must be self-directed, organized, and extremely attentive to details. Must have an understanding of agile methodology, iterative development processes, SDLC and have strong OOD and OOA skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements\/Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Application Developer will be expected to have aptitudes, skills, knowledge and experience on the following areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrable analytical skills with regard to specifying and detailing business processes and requirements.<\/li>\n<li>5+ years of relevant object-oriented application building experience in a professional environment<\/li>\n<li>Delivery experience with .NET framework, including C#, ADO.NET, LINQ and ASP.NET.<\/li>\n<li>5+ years delivery experience with Java.<\/li>\n<li>Formulation, management and execution of data test strategies, plans and delivery commitments in concert with business and project management efforts.<\/li>\n<li>Mobile and web service development experience<\/li>\n<li>Experience with ticketing systems (e.g.; JIRA, Bugzilla) and managed workflows<\/li>\n<li>Strong familiarity with source control systems (e.g. Team Suite)<\/li>\n<li>Extensive experience with SQL Server (2005\/2008\/2012).<\/li>\n<li>Extensive experience in the use of Oracle Database.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with SQL data business intelligence (OLAP, etc\u2026) preferred<\/li>\n<li>Advanced knowledge and experience in HTML and DHTML, JavaScript, CSS<\/li>\n<li>Practical experience in Agile development methodologies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Problem Solving<\/strong>:<br \/>\nThe Application Developer will often be challenged with new problems to which they will need to rely on strong problem-solving skills to resolve:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The ability to accurately identify the cause of a system\/application malfunction, interpret that to management and their colleagues, document and propose resolutions<\/li>\n<li>Fully understand structured methodologies (e.g. Agile) for using programming code to solve business problems<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all changes and implementations are well tested and managed in a controlled manner with full rollback plans<\/li>\n<li>Correctly identify when assistance is required and request it accordingly<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with the wider team in matters where their support is required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>People Management and Development<\/strong>:<br \/>\nThe successful will also be required to possess the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The ability to work well within a team and as part of a larger overall technology team<\/li>\n<li>They should display strong collaborative characteristics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience and Qualifications\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nIdeal candidate should have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree (B.Sc, B.A), Computer Science, Computer or Electronic Engineering or similar disciplines.<\/li>\n<li>5 \u2013 8 years delivery experience with Java or .NET technologies<\/li>\n<li>Extensive experience with Oracle database\u200e<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their updated CV\u2019s in MS word format to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:contact@gvapartners.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>contact@gvapartners.com<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0Using \u201cApplication Developer (Java) or.
