PROCUREMENT DEPARTMENT<\/strong>
\nPosition: Head, Technical Procurement Ref: HTPR
\nReporting to the director-Procurement<\/p>\n

Our Ideal Candidate:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Coordinates the procurement, tendering and contracting processes for all goods and services required by the Engineering and Information Technology functions.
\n\u2022 Ensures compliance with defined procurement policies and quidelines in all procurement activities
\n\u2022 Provides relevant input in the articulation and implementation of the procurement strategy for Etisalat Nigeria
\n\u2022 Idenfifies resources, personnel; and funding required to achieve the unit\u2019s strategy
\n\u2022 Establishes and maintains relationships with key internal and external stakeholders(including suppliers, vendors and contractors)
\n\u2022 Coordinates vendor listing and delisting for goods and services required by the Engineering and Information Technology functions
\n\u2022 Liaises with relevant unit heads to identify and receive procurement\/purchase requirements
\n\u2022 Ensures the conduct of on-going market surveys to identify various sources of supply and obtain competitive prices for all categories of goods and services to be purchased
\n\u2022 Provides input in the development of effective procurement tracking systems to ensure prompt processing of procurement requisitions from the Engineering and Information Technology functions
\n\u2022 Ensures cost efficient processing of the procurement needs of user departments in compliance with procurement policies and procedures
\n\u2022 Participates in the evaluation of vendor performance and implementation of remedial actions to ensure vendor performance
\n\u2022 Provides leadership and guidance to team members and manage sub-ordinates performance towards the achievement of overall team objectives
\n\u2022 Prepares \/compiles agreed periodic activity and performance reports for the attention of the Director Procurement<\/p>\n

Our Ideal Candidate should possess:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 A first degree in a relevant discipline
\n\u2022 Post-graduate \/professional qualification(s) in a related field(an added advantage)
\n\u2022 Eight (8) to twelve (12) years relevant work experience, with at least three(3) years procurement experience in a managerial role within the telecommunications industry<\/p>\n

\n\u2022 Be strategic and analytical thinkers
\n\u2022 Possess excellent communication skills(oral and written)
\n\u2022 Possess high levels of integrity and self regulation<\/p>\n
