We are also consistently committed to high standards; continuous improvement, service excellence, organizational citizenship, and outstanding work ethics.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the vacant position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Peri-Operative Nurse<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The role is responsible for the daily functional operation of the pediatrics unit, delivery of patient \/customer quality care, staff development and continuous quality improvement activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Result Areas (KRA)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CSSD Supervisor\u2019s Functions<\/li>\n<li>The key result areas of this role are:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Medical Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversees management of perioperative services operationally and fiscally.<\/li>\n<li>Make recommendations to the matron\/CNO concerning procedure or policy modifications when necessary and inform department staff of any new procedure or policy implementation introduced by the units\u2019 administration.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitates or serves as a member of a multidisciplinary team in planning perioperative patient care.<\/li>\n<li>Verifies that perioperative personnel provides safe and effective patient-centered care in perioperative services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate, evaluate and supervise employees in the provision of patient care.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for administering budget, staffing the unit and overseeing staff training.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain skill and knowledge by participating in various nurse education programs, seminars, staff meetings and workshops.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Administrative Duties<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Promotes the mission, vision, and values of the organization.<\/li>\n<li>Creates and conveys the mission and vision of perioperative services with the assistance of the management team.<\/li>\n<li>Verifies that educational resources are available for perioperative services personnel and holds personnel accountable for compliance with established standards.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinates, facilitates, and manages change within perioperative services and the healthcare institution.<\/li>\n<li>Health and Safety<\/li>\n<li>Carry out duties and responsibilities in compliance with Lily hospitals\u2019 health and safety policy and statutory regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure a clean, comfortable and safe environment for patients, clients and members of staff.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The Person<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum academic qualification of a Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Peri-Operative Nurse,\u00a0 Bachelor of Nursing Science (B.NSc).<\/li>\n<li>5 years and above relevant work experience in the health sector.<\/li>\n<li>Possession of BLS and ACLS training certificate is an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria and must be licensed to practice as Registered Nurse or Registered Peri-Operative Nurse.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the Microsoft office package.<\/li>\n<li>Outstanding communication (oral and written), interpersonal and people management skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application Closing Date<\/strong><br \/>\n20th March, 2018.<\/p>\n<section id=\"listing-fields\"><\/section>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested and qualified candidates should forward their &#8220;Word Doc&#8221; CV&#8217;s only to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:recruitment074@gmail.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>recruitment074@gmail.com<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0using the job title as the subject of the mail.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lily Hospitals Limited, established since 1986 remains one of the foremost hospitals in Nigeria and within the South-South region of the country.
