The company\u2019s objective is to revolutionize the real estate industry to the point where participation is feasible across all classes of income.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nJob Title: Financial Reporting Specialist<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Reports To<\/strong>: Head of Financial Performance &amp; Reporting<br \/>\n<strong>Direct Reports<\/strong>: Supervisors, Officers and Interns<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To ensure accurate reporting of financial transactions and effective management of financial resources and systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Liaises with HOD, FPR to develop\/update and implement financial and accounting policies, procedures and strategies across the Group.<\/li>\n<li>Manages the day-to-day accounting transactions and ensures the accurate recordings\/postings of financial data.<\/li>\n<li>Prepares the trial balance and financial reports (e.g. bank reconciliations, balance sheet, profit and loss accounts).<\/li>\n<li>Implements control systems and processes to secure the organization\u2019s assets.<\/li>\n<li>Acts to ensure the accuracy of inventory balances by reconciling the book balance of stock\/cash to physical balances.<\/li>\n<li>Monitors the fixed asset ledgers to ensure accuracy of balances by effectively reconciling book balance to physical balance.<\/li>\n<li>Liaises with internal and external auditors to discuss and resolve queries.<\/li>\n<li>Provides detailed and accurate reports to Executive management on a regular basis to support business objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Analyze and interpret financial information for Company strategic planning and business decision making.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare weekly work plans and time sheets for submission to Head of Department.<\/li>\n<li>Departmental Budget Savings of at least 20%.<\/li>\n<li>Promptness of service delivery and support for other departments.<\/li>\n<li>Be a role model for the entire team and always keep the team morale and energy high.<\/li>\n<li>Provide Accounting policy (Specific to Financial Reporting) orientation for new employees admitted into the department.<\/li>\n<li>Closure of audit non-conformity within stipulated time<\/li>\n<li>Attendance of departmental quality meeting and technical meetings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Performance Area Key Performance Indicator (KPI)<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Accounts Management<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Integrity of physical and electronic accounting financial information.<\/li>\n<li>Timely resolution of accounts discrepancies.<\/li>\n<li>Accuracy in documentation and easy retrieval of financial transaction records.<\/li>\n<li>Number of timely losses within the Organization on various transactions identified.<\/li>\n<li>Timely reconciliation of accounts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Financial Reporting<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Timeliness, completeness and accuracy of financial reports.<\/li>\n<li>Relevance of reports to decision making.<\/li>\n<li>Compliance and record management<\/li>\n<li>Timely completion of reconciliation of accounts.<\/li>\n<li>Accuracy in filing and easy retrieval of documents.<\/li>\n<li>Non-compliance of staff to finance policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>No. of detected breaches in internal controls.<\/li>\n<li>Frequency and number of fraud incidents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Team Management<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Managing the team efficiently.<\/li>\n<li>Troubleshooting.<\/li>\n<li>Contribution to the employee productivity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Reporting<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prompt submission of Monthly and Quarterly performance reports.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Skills And Competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent follow through, ability to pay attention to details and organizational skills.<\/li>\n<li>High level of professionalism and dedication towards work.<\/li>\n<li>Analytical, problem solving and decision making skill<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.<\/li>\n<li>Strategic thinking, forecasting and planning skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong quantitative, analytical and computer skills.<\/li>\n<li>Able to identify and manage both transactional and operational risks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Accounting\/ Business Management\/Economics<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 6 years experience in Accounting<\/li>\n<li>Real Estate experience is an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Must be professionally qualified as an Accountant<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application Closing Date<\/strong><br \/>\n20th March 2018.<\/p>\n<section id=\"listing-fields\"><\/section>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested and qualified candidates should send their CV&#8217;s to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:recruitment@cmbnigeria.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>recruitment@cmbnigeria.com<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and state the Job Role as the Subject.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CMB Building, Maintenance &amp;
