{"id":51080,"date":"2018-03-19T13:11:54","date_gmt":"2018-03-19T12:11:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=51080"},"modified":"2018-03-19T13:11:54","modified_gmt":"2018-03-19T12:11:54","slug":"action-hunger-agh-recruiting-send-cv","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/action-hunger-agh-recruiting-send-cv.html","title":{"rendered":"Action Against Hunger (AGH) Is Recruiting &#8211; Send CV"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Action Against Hunger works to save lives by combating hunger and diseases that threaten the lives of vulnerable communities, through nutrition, food security, water and sanitation, health and advocacy.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Emergency Program Logistics Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nYou\u2019ll Contribute to Ending World Hunger By<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensuring that efficient and appropriate logistic support is provided for all Rapid Response Mechanism program activities.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all Action Against Hunger and donor logistics procedures are followed and that all logistical measures are taken to ensure the timely implementation of rapid evaluations and short-term emergency responses, in close coordination with the other members of the Regional humanitarian team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\nKey Activities in your Role Will Include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for ensuring that efficient and appropriate logistical support is provided for all Rapid Response Mechanisms program activities consistent with Action Against Hunger protocols and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for oversight of all logistical activities for Action Against Hunger Emergency programming.<\/li>\n<li>Supply chain management for Emergency program activities.<\/li>\n<li>Stock and Asset management.<\/li>\n<li>Support the Emergency Coordinator in ensuring implementation of security measures according to Action Against Hunger security guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>Initiate and monitor the progress of program logistical activities in line with respective work plans.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Does this Description Fit You<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You have a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Logistics, Purchasing and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.<\/li>\n<li>You have at least 6 years of work experience preferably in humanitarian or development work with at least 3 years of experience in emergency.<\/li>\n<li>You have previous experience in and good knowledge of Northeast Nigeria or similar context.<\/li>\n<li>You have Previous experience of logistics management in an NGO.<\/li>\n<li>You have excellent management and personal skills to enable the motivation, encouragement and participation of a mainly national team, including remote management.<\/li>\n<li>You have a strong coordination, communication and diplomacy skills.<\/li>\n<li>You are able to work under stressful conditions in an isolated area.<\/li>\n<li>You are able to establish strong working relationships with colleagues from different functions and cultures.<\/li>\n<li>You maintain a mature and problem-solving attitude when confronted with difficult situations.<\/li>\n<li>You are able to motivate and encourage others to deliver high standards of work.<\/li>\n<li>You have a high degree of emotional intelligence demonstrating strong self-awareness and the ability to take responsibility for your actions.<\/li>\n<li>You monitor the impact that demanding activities and stressful working conditions may have on your team and actively work with other departments to ensure staff are appropriately supported.<\/li>\n<li>You like to find &amp; implement straight-forward solutions to tricky questions. You balance finding quick answers to immediate problems with planning projects that take a longer time to execute.<\/li>\n<li>You maintain a mature and problem-solving attitude when confronted with difficult situations.<\/li>\n<li>You are able to motivate and encourage others to deliver high standards of work.<\/li>\n<li>You\u2019re genuinely enthusiastic about helping the logistics teams achieve their objectives.<\/li>\n<li>You like to pass on to others what you\u2019ve learnt &amp; thrive on the variety of logistics activities that fall within this role\u2019s scope of responsibility.<\/li>\n<li>You have experience working with colleagues who do not speak your language, speaking tactfully &amp; listening carefully to others.<\/li>\n<li>You are used to explaining your work in non-technical terms &amp; are comfortable explaining &amp; reinforcing policies &amp; procedures to a team.<\/li>\n<li>You have a high degree of emotional intelligence demonstrating strong self-awareness and the ability to take responsibility for your actions.<\/li>\n<li>You monitor the impact that demanding activities and stressful working conditions may have on your team and actively work with other departments to ensure staff are appropriately supported.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Benefits<\/strong><br \/>\nAction Against Hunger values its employees and offers a comprehensive remuneration and benefits package.
