Infrastructure (Advisory)<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Reference Number:<\/strong> 125-NIG00161<br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Based out of Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Department:<\/strong> Internal Firm Services<br \/>\n<strong>Job Type:<\/strong> Permanent<\/p>\n<p><strong>Purpose of the Job<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the CP&amp;I Leader to drive the competency business development and execution initiative in Nigeria<\/li>\n<li>Provide support in the development of the CP&amp;I competency depth within the PwC Nigeria Advisory practice<\/li>\n<li>Support the establishment, deepening and expansion of PwC relationships with Boards and the C-Suite Executives for all significant players across the CP&amp;I value chain<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate the development of Nigeria\u2019s CP&amp;I specific thought leadership, client surveys, events, conferences etc.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with the other major LOS (Consulting, Assurance and Tax) to drive the CP&amp;I agenda<\/li>\n<li>Develop project financing and project recapitalisation financial constructs and models in support of CP&amp;I business development and execution activity<\/li>\n<li>Support the competency leader in executing all CP&amp;I transactions \/ projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Main Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Execute on Project financing and Recapitalization projects:\n<ul>\n<li>Deal identification &amp; origination support i.e. sourcing the transaction<\/li>\n<li>Deal preparation &amp; structuring i.e. deal readiness assessments &amp; enablement, financing strategy development etc.<\/li>\n<li>Deal marketing support i.e. marketing material development, engaging with potential financing partners in competitive or negotiated processes etc.<\/li>\n<li>Deal close i.e. managing due diligence, negotiations, securing funding etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Structure, coordinate and execute Capital Projects and Infrastructure engagements, including but not limited to:\n<ul>\n<li>Project Reviews, Viability Assessments and Studies; Expansion &amp; Market Penetration Strategies; Asset Acquisitions &amp; Disposals; Investment \/ Fund Raising; and Project Optimisations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Develop and keep up to date the PwC CP&amp;I financing \/ capital raise thesis:\n<ul>\n<li>Landscape \/ value chain \u2013 funding lifecycle, notable players including funders and users (key projects and corporates), dynamics, evolution etc.<\/li>\n<li>PwC CP&amp;I \u201cunique point of view\u201d on project financing in Nigeria \/ West Africa \u2013 trends, dynamics, opportunities, challenges etc.<\/li>\n<li>Identify the potential PwC client universe within the value chain (mid to large cap player and relationship dimensions)<\/li>\n<li>Prioritize focus sub-sectors\/targets and derive PwC CP&amp;I\u2019s very detailed \u201cgo-tomarket strategy\u201d (in conjunction with other relevant leaders)<\/li>\n<li>Determine PwC investment requirements to enhance our financing \/ fund raise presence<\/li>\n<li>Other relevant components of the thesis<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain very deep understanding of PwC lines of service, \u201clocal\u201d Advisory competency offerings, PwC Africa Advisory capabilities \/ specializations and PwC Global<\/li>\n<li>Advisory capabilities within the context of the financing \/ capital raise complex<\/li>\n<li>Specific focus on Capital Projects &amp; Infrastructure and the broader Deals Advisory Services context<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Support Competency Lead in driving business development efforts including identifying opportunities, developing relationships, scoping prospective engagements and leading proposal development:\n<ul>\n<li>Articulate priority client relationship building strategy<\/li>\n<li>Drive the development of x-LOS and x-geography teams per client<\/li>\n<li>Support managing client relationships through positive and proactive engagement<\/li>\n<li>As a trusted advisor, demonstrate a deep understanding of client business challenges and support mobilization of necessary cross-competency and crossgeography teams to resolve them<\/li>\n<li>Support \u201cbig game hunting\u201d specialist origination efforts where necessary<\/li>\n<li>Manage client engagement delivery through proactive engagement, innovative approaches, issues resolution and quality delivery<\/li>\n<li>Identify and communicate engagement findings to client management<\/li>\n<li>Consistently seek client feedback during and outside the engagement delivery cycle<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Develop and deliver \u201cdistinctive PwC value \/ perspective\u201d on project financing \/ capital raise in Nigeria &amp; West Africa:\n<ul>\n<li>Cutting edge Thought Leadership; Client surveys; News articles \/ Press (print); and Media coverage &amp; interviews.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Support the creation of \u201cPwC Capital Projects &amp; infrastructure Brand\u201d and its #1 positioning in the market:\n<ul>\n<li>Client Conferences &amp; Events; Internal and External Social Media; Brochures; Websites etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Effectively lead people development efforts and manage the junior members of the CPI team to provide exceptional service:\n<ul>\n<li>Develop project finance \/ capital raise specific training modules and lead the deployment (training sessions)<\/li>\n<li>Act as role model by engaging staff through mentoring \/ coaching and counselling<\/li>\n<li>Support leadership in building and maintaining a pipeline of competent staff in the Deals practice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Ensure teams follow risk management policies and standards on engagement delivery in accordance with standards:\n<ul>\n<li>Manage and report on engagement economics &amp; metrics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Build good x-LOS, x-competency and x-geography relationships, and support key internal roles by aiding them to meet the firm\u2019s objectives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Specific Requirements: (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills)<\/strong><br \/>\nEducation (minimum level of academic and professional qualification and accreditation required to performer effectively in the role):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Engineering or related field<\/li>\n<li>Master\u2019s Degree in Business or Finance related field is a plus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Job Experience (Minimum level of personal and professional experience required to perform effectively in the role):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of 6 years of investment banking \/ deal advisory \/ infrastructure experience with a focus on project finance<\/li>\n<li>Track record of advising on successful project financing transactions<\/li>\n<li>Experience in building and maintaining strong relations with key industry contacts<\/li>\n<li>Must have significant emerging markets experience preference will be given to candidates with existing experience in Nigeria \/ West Africa<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated leadership skills and experience leading projects and diverse teams.<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities.<\/li>\n<li>Relevant experience in a managerial role in a large, global or fast-growing client service organization<\/li>\n<li>Practical industry experience combined with experience in consulting \/ investment banking is a significant plus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Job Knowledge Requirements (Minimum level of practices, standards, processes, legislation etc):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Project financing \/ capital raise structuring and execution<\/li>\n<li>Business Development in the CP&amp;I space.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Job Related Skills and Competencies (Minimum level of skills i.e. computer literacy, technical skills, and Technical Competencies required to do the job):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent business development skills \u2013 Entrepreneurial and commercial thinking<\/li>\n<li>Exceptional presentation, communication and facilitation skills<\/li>\n<li>Lead and supervise teams and team activities<\/li>\n<li>Decide and initiate action to achieve key business results within area of responsibility<\/li>\n<li>Excellent relationship and networking skills proven track record of dealing with senior client contacts<\/li>\n<li>Project management skills ability to manage across multiple and complex projects<\/li>\n<li>Application of technical expertise<\/li>\n<li>Adaptable to working and engaging with multiple cultures across client environment.<\/li>\n<li>Strong negotiation skills \u2013 persuading and influencing<\/li>\n<li>Strong creativity and innovation abilities<\/li>\n<li>Exceptional client service \u2013 delivering results and exceeding client expectations<\/li>\n<li>Adaptability to respond to change<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>29th March, 2018.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PwC is a network of firms committed to delivering quality in Assurance, Tax and Advisory services.
