Due to internal expansion; they are recruiting to fill the vacant position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Head, Finance and Accounts<br \/>\nLocation:<\/strong>\u00a0Lagos<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Head, Finance and Accounts shall oversee all financial tasks of our company and ensure we use capital and resources beneficially.<\/li>\n<li>To provide a leadership role in all aspects of the company\u2019s financial operations and to manage Treasury functions.<\/li>\n<li>He\/she shall provide accurate and timely financial information and reports to facilitate the decision making process and ensure success of the corporation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for the overall Finance and Accounting activities of the organisation<\/li>\n<li>Supporting the MD\/CEO in ensuring efficient operations and business growth<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that all group treasury transactions are accurately recorded and appropriately valued in a secure Accounting\/Information System<\/li>\n<li>Managing of all bank-related matters<\/li>\n<li>Presentation of Monthly and Quarterly Reports to management<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring the timely rendition of Financial and Statistical Reports to Management and Board<\/li>\n<li>Presenting Variance Reports along with Monthly Performance Reports<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that Best Practice is implemented and efficiency is maximised<\/li>\n<li>Inventory Management<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of Annual Management Account\/Final Accounts<\/li>\n<li>Tax Management- handling of FIRS, LIRS,VAT matters<\/li>\n<li>Liasing with External Auditors on all tax related matters<\/li>\n<li>Liasing with regulators and external bodies such as ITF, Pension Funds Administrators, HMOS ETC<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring adequate and proactive supervision of the department by creating an enabling environment for the supervisees to accomplish assigned tasks<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring the generation and posting of monthly adjustments<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that all source documents are posted<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring the integrity of the general ledger<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that expenditures are ratified \/verified by the Internal Control Unit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Persons Specification<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Education: A degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field<\/li>\n<li>MSc\/MBA or relevant certification (e.g. CFA\/ACCA) is a plus<\/li>\n<li>Experience: Minimum of 10 years related experience in managing financials accounting systems, standard cost accounting, and budgeting and treasury functions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Specific Skills\/ Knowledge Required:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong Leadership and supervisory skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment<\/li>\n<li>In depth knowledge of financial, MRP\/ERP and integrated accounting systems<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in MS Office, with advanced excel skills<\/li>\n<li>Establish and maintain relationship with banks, EDC.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure adequate insurance coverage is in place, thereby minimizing risks.<\/li>\n<li>Review standard costs, including appropriate overhead allocations.<\/li>\n<li>Periodic review of product margins and advise management as necessary<\/li>\n<li>Other tasks as assigned.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent problem solving and analytical skills<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate annual audit of the Company with external auditors to include SR&amp;ED, set and prioritize goals and<\/li>\n<li>objectives for direct reports and themselves<\/li>\n<li>Perform analysis on various company projects and plans and provide alternatives and recommendations.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with legal representation on corporate issues.
