Operations aim to start in Lagos in Q3 2018.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Director of Operations<br \/>\nLocation:\u00a0<\/strong>Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Job Type:<\/strong> Full Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You are a process-oriented, data-driven operations &amp; logistics manager who is ready troll up your sleeves, join a passionate team, and build a business at light speed while tackling the large Nigerian parcel shipping market.<\/li>\n<li>You not only possess a rare combination of analytical thinking, creative problem solving, detail orientation and interpersonal skills, but can also drive a core part of our business: making sure our amazing services are available and perfectly executed tour customers conveniently and seamlessly.<\/li>\n<li>In this role you\u2019ll own day-to-day operations, employee management, and constant margin evaluation of delivery operations, communicating business status and progress to executive management.<\/li>\n<li>This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to directly impact the customer experience through the planning and seamless execution of our services while also maximizing efficiency and P&amp;L health.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What You\u2019ll Do<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Own the Client\u2019s operations team, including external delivery partners and all internal operations, while working alongside our Marketing &amp; Engineering on strategy and delivery times<\/li>\n<li>Enable efficient and accurate schedules\/routes, which minimize drive times and mileage<\/li>\n<li>Provide accurate and timely operational and financial reporting while holding delivery team accountable to KPIs &amp; Quality of Service Metrics<\/li>\n<li>Use data to drive improvements to delivery operations and ensure high-quality customer experiences, delivery protocols, driver support and best practices<\/li>\n<li>Work to minimize costs, improve services and process efficiencies<\/li>\n<li>Set up and manage the Customer Service.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BA\/BS degree in Engineering, Finance, Operations or Analytics, or equivalent practical experience.<\/li>\n<li>5+ years of experience managing transportation operations to ensure lowest-cost and on-time delivery<\/li>\n<li>5+ years of experience managing relationships with vendors<\/li>\n<li>Ability to take initiative and be flexible in a constantly-changing work environment<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of excel \/ google sheets and ease with a variety of tech platforms, including accounting and reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding and experience of developing and managing metric-orientated logistics processes and the ability to measure, analyze, improve, control and take ownership of the processes<\/li>\n<li>Experience in managing customer service<\/li>\n<li>Ability to effectively manage hourly employees<\/li>\n<li>Natural leader with the ability to motivate and lead a team, even indirect reports<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Life at our client\u2019s<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Join a diverse, passionate &amp; driven team of all backgrounds<\/li>\n<li>Casual work environment<\/li>\n<li>Comprehensive health benefits to fit your needs<\/li>\n<li>Competitive salary &amp; equity package.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa Delivery Technologies Limited \u2013 Our client, is an exciting new start-up company in the logistics market in Nigeria committed to offering online, reliable and secure parcel shipping services within&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[4],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
