JOB TITLE: REGIONAL PROGRAM ASSISTANT\/DATA QUALITY SPECIALIST<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/strong><\/p>\n CLOSING DATE: JULY 16 2010<\/strong><\/p>\n The Regional Program Assistant\/Data Quality Specialist, with technical oversight from the Regional Strategic Information Program Officer, is responsible for<\/p>\n ensuring that standards for data quality are maintained across all program sites where patient-level data entry is going on. The Program Assistant will have<\/p>\n immediate oversight over all data entry clerks working within the region of this institution\u2019s operations.<\/p>\n Under the supervision of the Director Strategic Information, this position will be responsible for the following;<\/p>\n KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY<\/strong><\/p>\n Ensuring that data checks and editing are carried out Conducting routine monitoring visits, supportive supervision and periodic Data Quality Assessments(DQA) at project sites<\/p>\n Supporting the quality control systems and mechanisms needed to guarantee proper management of information and data.<\/p>\n REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE<\/strong> Experience in a similar position will be a plus<\/p>\n Thorough understanding of data management and quality principles Proficiency in MS Office applications especially MS Excel and MS Access. Candidates without appreciable proficiency in this regard need not apply. Good organizational, computer and interpersonal skills.<\/p>\n This position requires an individual who is detailed-oriented, innovative, able to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and execute assignments with minimal supervision; a positive attitude and desirability to work in a team.<\/p>\n METHOD OF APPLICATION<\/strong>
\nIdentifying and investigating deviations from data quality standards
\nProffering solutions to maintain data quality
\nSupervision of facility-based documentation, and data entry clerks
\nWorking with the Health Management Information Systems unit to maintain patient-level information systems<\/p>\n
\nMinimum of a Bachelor\u2019s degree or Higher National Diploma in a relevant field of study<\/p>\n
