The non-profit center focuses on increasing and sustaining food and agricultural productivity in developing countries through the development and transfer of effective and environmentally sound crop nutrient technology and agribusiness expertise.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Access to Finance Specialist \u2013 Nigeria Rural Resilience<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Tracking Code:<\/strong> 20120368<br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Northern Nigeria<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nJob Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC) is currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Access to Finance Specialist for the anticipated USAID\/Nigeria Rural Resilience Project in northern Nigeria.<\/li>\n<li>Recruitment is contingent upon successful award of the project and the selection of final applicant is subject to USAID approval.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work with commercial banks, Savings and Credit Cooperatives (SACCOs), and Village\/Community Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) and provide technical support and guidance to these institutions as well as smallholders owned Cooperatives, agribusinesses operators and other value chain actors<\/li>\n<li>Identify and document financial constraints in agribusiness clusters and value chain and develop strategies to address them<\/li>\n<li>Building on the capacity gap(s) identified for SACCOs and VSLAs, lead the implementation of capacity building support designed to improve their lending and savings products to the agricultural sector; improve financial &amp; risk management capacity<\/li>\n<li>Pilot solutions and innovations practices for agro-inputs and small equipment financing, agricultural production risk management, supply chain financing, Income generating activities financing, chain upgrading financing for small and medium enterprises (SMEs)<\/li>\n<li>Develop and deliver trainings programs and technical assistance to financial institutions as well as clusters and chain actors<\/li>\n<li>Support the identification, appointment, and training of community-based trainers (CBTs) and\/or village agents to guide formation of VSLA and SACCO groups and offer technical assistance to ensure sustainability.<\/li>\n<li>Any other tasks that may be assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master\u2019s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or other related field<\/li>\n<li>Up-to-date knowledge of the agricultural finance environment in West Africa<\/li>\n<li>Resourceful, innovative and ready to test new approaches<\/li>\n<li>Result-orientation and ability to take initiatives under minimal supervision and reach targets<\/li>\n<li>Ability to strictly meet deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Team player, at ease in a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary environment<\/li>\n<li>Professional fluency in English<\/li>\n<li>Competency in the use of computers and MS Office software, including Word, Powerpoint, and Excel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Required Experience:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience, including in one or several of the following areas: small and medium rural enterprise finance, agricultural value chain finance, microfinance, business development services, financial institutions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ifdc-hr.silkroad.com\/epostings\/index.cfm?fuseaction=app.dspjob&amp;jobid=435&amp;company_id=16193&amp;version=1&amp;jobBoardId=3345\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Apply Here<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Conservation Agriculture\/Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA)<\/strong> <strong>Specialist \u2013 Nigeria Rural Resilience<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Tracking Code:<\/strong> 20120369<br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Northern, Nigeria<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC) is currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Conservation Agriculture\/Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) Specialist for the anticipated USAID\/Nigeria Rural Resilience Project in northern Nigeria.<\/li>\n<li>Recruitment is contingent upon successful award of the project and the selection of final applicant is subject to USAID approval.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Determine the integration of Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) practices and technologies with farmers and key stakeholders, such as donors and development partners<\/li>\n<li>Identify CSA outcomes on sustainable agricultural production, adaptation and mitigation;
