Job Title:\u00a0Finance Assistants (Associates)<\/strong><\/p>\n About the role<\/strong><\/p>\n The post holder will\u00a0support Christian Aid financial management functions at the field offices and ensure that adequate financial records are kept at field offices and payment requests are processed on a timely basis. The finance associates will be responsible for preparing financial documentation including cheques, petty cash reimbursement, petty cash advances and all staff floats. The role will ensure that all financial transactions incurred on the project are in line with CA and donor requirements. The role is responsible for reviewing all costs incurred at the field offices and posting all transactions into CA Accounting software. The role will also ensure that donor reports are prepared and shared with all stakeholders within the organisation in line with the Finance Team Reporting timetable. This role will directly line manage 3 finance associates and will ensure that financial procedures and controls at field office are adhered to and that grant conditions of donors relating to the projects are complied with.<\/p>\n About you<\/strong><\/p>\n You must have a 1st degree in Finance or Accounting and be a member of a Certified Accounting body (ACCA or ICAN) with 5 to 6 years experience in similar role. You must have strong experience in financial reporting, grant management for institutional donors particularly ECHO. You should have experience preparing monthly financial reports using accounting softwares such as SUN. Provide technical support on M&E and evidence-based recommendations to the relevant Program Officers and Partners. Support Program Officers and partners in conducting of field activities and adheres to CA\u2019s monitoring and evaluation system.\u00a0 Participate actively in programme planning processes. The role holder will upload key reports to the Source (intranet) and assist the MEAL unit in designing, coordinating and conducting project evaluations (baseline, mid-term and end-line). S\/he will support the team in developing quarterly\/annual organisational reports and work collaboratively with different programmes for strengthening, integration and cross-learning in programmes.<\/p>\n About you<\/strong><\/p>\n You must have a degree in Statistics or any of the Social Sciences and a sound knowledge of office programmes including word, outlook, power point and excel. Knowledge of relevant database systems and data management tools (such as CS Pro, DHIS, NHMIS) is essential. You are required to have experience of monitoring and evaluation, project\/programme-cycle management approaches and tools \u2013 including participatory planning.
