{"id":52497,"date":"2018-04-04T17:00:05","date_gmt":"2018-04-04T16:00:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=52497"},"modified":"2018-04-04T17:00:05","modified_gmt":"2018-04-04T16:00:05","slug":"lilygate-hotel-new-job-opening","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/lilygate-hotel-new-job-opening.html","title":{"rendered":"Lilygate Hotel has a New Job Opening"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lilygate Hotel located in the heart of Lekki Phase 1 is a new luxurious four star hotel with 74 rooms including 6 suites and a full range of facilities.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Guest Reservation Agent<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Reports To:<\/strong> Front Office Manager<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responds to communications from guests, travel agents, and referral networks concerning reservations arriving by mail, telephone, social media or through a central reservation system<\/li>\n<li>Creates and maintains reservation records-usually by date of arrival and alphabetical listing prepares letters of confirmation and promptly processes any cancellations and modifications.<\/li>\n<li>Additional duties may include preparing the list of expected arrivals for the front office, assisting in preregistration activities when appropriate, and processing advance reservation deposits.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Processes reservations by mail, telephone, social media or central reservation systems referral.<\/li>\n<li>Processes reservations from the sales office, other hotel departments, and travel agents.<\/li>\n<li>Knows the type of rooms available as well as their location and layout.<\/li>\n<li>Knows the selling status, rates, and benefits of all packages plans.<\/li>\n<li>Knows the credit policy of the hotel and how to code each reservation.<\/li>\n<li>Creates and maintains reservation records by date of arrival and alphabetical listing.<\/li>\n<li>Determines room rates based on the selling tactics of the hotel.<\/li>\n<li>Prepares letters of confirmation.<\/li>\n<li>Communicates reservation information to the front desk.<\/li>\n<li>Processes cancellations and modifications and promptly relays this information to the front desk.<\/li>\n<li>Understands the hotel\u2019s policy on guaranteed reservations and no-shows.<\/li>\n<li>Processes advance deposits on reservations.<\/li>\n<li>Tracks future room availabilities on the basis of reservations.<\/li>\n<li>Helps develop room revenue and occupancy forecasts.<\/li>\n<li>Prepares expected arrival list for front office use.<\/li>\n<li>Assists in preregistration activities when appropriate.<\/li>\n<li>Monitors advances deposit requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Handles daily correspondence. Responds to inquires and makes reservations as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Makes sure that files are kept up to date.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains a clean and neat appearance and work area at all times.<\/li>\n<li>Promotes goodwill by beings courteous, friendly, and helpful to guests, mangers, and fellow employees.<\/li>\n<li>Walk around with the client and ensuring that they secure whatever services they are in need of.<\/li>\n<li>Getting information about areas of interest in order to target more clients in particular seasons.<\/li>\n<li>Making arrangements for clients travel programs.<\/li>\n<li>Tracks future room availability on the basis of reservations, and helps develop forecasts for room revenue and occupancy.<\/li>\n<li>To be aware of all front office procedures and assist with reception duties when required.<\/li>\n<li>To be fully aware of and adhere to health and safety, fire and bomb threat procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Willing to undertake any reasonable request made by management in any other areas of the house.<\/li>\n<li>Open and close the availability as and when required of hotel in all the GDS channels, IDS channels and on the hotel website.<\/li>\n<li>Configuring rates on the hotels property management system.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Prerequisites<\/strong><br \/>\nEducation:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>HND\/B.Sc. graduate or equivalent<\/li>\n<li>Must speak, read, write, and understand English used in the workplace<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to speak and understand English used by the guests who visits the hotel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Experience:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous hotel-related experience desired<\/li>\n<li>Experience in Hotel software (Opera) and their functionalities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application Closing Date<\/strong><br \/>\n18th April, 2018.<\/p>\n<section id=\"listing-fields\"><\/section>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested and qualified candidates should forward their Applications and CV&#8217;s to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:kehinde.badmus@lilygatelagos.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>kehinde.badmus@lilygatelagos.com<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lilygate Hotel located in the heart of Lekki Phase 1 is a new luxurious four star hotel with 74 rooms including 6 suites and a full range of facilities.
