{"id":52773,"date":"2018-04-09T09:34:32","date_gmt":"2018-04-09T08:34:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=52773"},"modified":"2018-04-09T09:34:32","modified_gmt":"2018-04-09T08:34:32","slug":"global-communities-formerly-chf-international-new-job-alert","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/global-communities-formerly-chf-international-new-job-alert.html","title":{"rendered":"Global Communities (formerly CHF International) New Job Alert!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Global Communities (formerly CHF International) is an international non-profit organization that works closely with communities worldwide to bring about sustainable changes that improve the lives and livelihoods of the vulnerable.<\/p>\n<p>We are\u00a0 recruiting to fill the position of:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Director of Finance and Administration<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job ID:<\/strong> 2017-1350<br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Nigeria<br \/>\n<strong>Category:<\/strong> Field \u2013 Finance<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nJob Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Global Communities is seeking a qualified and experienced Director of Finance and Administration for the anticipated USAID-funded Nigeria Rural Resilience program.<\/li>\n<li>With external and internal factors creating an increasingly dynamic and challenging environment, the program is expected to focus on increasing the resilience of vulnerable, mostly rural, households to shocks and stress.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nThe DFA is responsible for the primary oversight and in-country leadership of all financial reporting and administrative operations through the life of the program.\u00a0 In particular, s\/he will oversee financial operations for the program; conduct continual reporting to ensure the financial health of the program and the correct usage of funds. A successful candidate will have experience working with U.S. Government programs, the ability to oversee staff and partner organization finances, and a strong background in institutionalizing financial best practices.<\/p>\n<p>Key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide financial management for all aspects of the program;<\/li>\n<li>Establish\/Maintain financial controls and procedures for the management of funds and sub contracts;<\/li>\n<li>Produce budget projections and reports for submission to the donor through the HQ;<\/li>\n<li>Monitor partner\u2019s management of funds and cross check source documents;<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with Global Communities policies grants and administration units on program related matters;<\/li>\n<li>Maintain financial files and support annual audits;<\/li>\n<li>Mentor and build the capacity of staff;<\/li>\n<li>Oversee annual financial audits;<\/li>\n<li>Provide oversight of program administration, IT, and HR management support;<\/li>\n<li>Assist in program development and proposal preparation as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain sound financial management systems in line with USAID rules and regulations and Global Communities policies and procedures, and accounting principles;<\/li>\n<li>Manage the program budget ensuring all costs incurred by Global Communities policies are accounted for and in compliance with local laws;<\/li>\n<li>Provide financial control, prepare and analyze budgets, develop financial reports, and make recommendations to HQ on budget expenditures;<\/li>\n<li>Maintain updated information regarding grants and contracts, reporting requirements and financial restrictions;<\/li>\n<li>Provide oversight on all program related financial matters;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure financial reporting is in accordance with USAID contractual requirements;<\/li>\n<li>Oversee Operations and Administration staff, ensuring that functions are performed timely and accurately;<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical assistance to improve the systems of internal control and financial management of partners;<\/li>\n<li>Advise program staff on financial health through the provision of regular and timely financial expenditure reports;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advanced degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related subject.
