By also working with selected and trained smallholder farmers on improved yields and quality as well as deploying smart solutions for the challenges of storage and logistics.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nJob Title: Business Development Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop activities to create new leads, Identifies new business opportunities by leveraging existing network, researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking deals.<\/li>\n<li>Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; actively manage and report deal pipeline with clear action plan to win.<\/li>\n<li>Follow-up on leads by engaging multiple stakeholders and customers<\/li>\n<li>Converts leads to sales and closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.<\/li>\n<li>Works seamlessly across multiple, cross-functional and cross-cultural teams at FarmForte to ensure a best in class customer experience while setting up new businesses.<\/li>\n<li>Is able to establish contacts and work with senior levels of leadership within the potential partner or customer organization effectively and strike long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Business, Social Sciences or other relevant field from a reputable university.<\/li>\n<li>At least five years in sales and business development in Nigeria. Especially in B2B environments.<\/li>\n<li>A strong entrepreneurial spirit and excitement about the opportunity to creatively build effective, non-traditional sales channels in a nascent product category<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to spend 40% \u2013 50% of the time on the road, interacting with country-level channel partners, resellers, customers and partners.<\/li>\n<li>Strong market orientation, entrepreneurial and innovative thinker.<\/li>\n<li>Result oriented, able to self start, passionate about technology and agriculture, able to multitask and meet deadlines. Can work remotely without supervision.<\/li>\n<li>Embraces complexity, multi-disciplinary, curious, appreciates different perspectives and cultures.<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on and get things done, quickly. Highly resourceful, thinks on his\/her feet. Very confident and can communicate effectively.
