He\/She will design, produce, and present new fashion apparel that is on trend.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to understand and interpret prints<\/li>\n<li>Devise efficient fashion design plans and foster new fashion concepts<\/li>\n<li>Adapting designs for mass production<\/li>\n<li>Share fashion insights and analysis with buyers to help them choose the appropriate inventory purchases<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with salespeople, designers, production team and manufacturers<\/li>\n<li>Select garments and accessories that will be used for promotional marketing<\/li>\n<li>Consider the needs of the target consumers, the new trends, purpose of the event and create and ensemble by combining cloths and accessories.<\/li>\n<li>Be aware of what the consumers want and display clothes in such a way that it attracts more of them<\/li>\n<li>Owns and manage vertical calendar; assure that all critical deadlines are met by the cross functional teams.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct trend research and interpret style<\/li>\n<li>Create and present seasonal concept direction on themes, colors, print inspiration, key fabrics and life style<\/li>\n<li>Create and present material and print pattern<\/li>\n<li>Create concept boards for presenting big ideas and key looks<\/li>\n<li>Attend design, fabric fashion, yarn and trim shows<\/li>\n<li>Travel to stores and competitive shopping locations to gain inspiration and pick up on trends<\/li>\n<li>Review and approve print design and strike off execution<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate activities of illustrators and drafters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements and Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Fashion Design, Merchandising, Art, or related field<\/li>\n<li>In-depth understanding of design principles, fashion, and the fashion industry<\/li>\n<li>Accurate and precise attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivated and self-directed<\/li>\n<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Skills:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Creativity, innovation and flair<\/li>\n<li>Commercial awareness and business orientation<\/li>\n<li>Self-promotion and confidence<\/li>\n<li>Interpersonal, communication and networking skills<\/li>\n<li>The ability to negotiate and to influence others<\/li>\n<li>Team working skills<\/li>\n<li>Good organization and time management.<\/li>\n<li>An eye for colour and a feel for fabrics and materials<\/li>\n<li>The ability to generate ideas and concepts<\/li>\n<li>Design and visualization skills, either by hand or through computer-aided design (CAD)<\/li>\n<li>Technical skills, including pattern cutting<\/li>\n<li>Garment technology skills and knowledge<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Remuneration<\/strong><br \/>\nHighly competitive and very attractive in the fashion industry.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their Applications and CV\u2019s to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:hr@tiskies.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>hr@tiskies.com<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline\u00a0<\/strong>4th May 2018.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong>: Only qualified and experience candidate will be contacted.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tiskies, an African contemporary fashion outfit specializing in African fabrics and western materials to produce a well detailed mix of exquisite fashion for both men and women.
