If you are interested a crucial role in implementing EU Support for Response, Recovery and Resilience in Borno State \u2013 Nigeria, then we would love to hear from you.<\/li>\n<li>We welcome applications from experienced Team Leaders who thrive on accelerating self-sufficiency and prosperity in communities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What you\u2019ll be working on<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>EU funded support for Response, Recovery and Resilience in Borno State which aims to build the resilience of conflict-affected people and public sector institutions by providing project management support to the EU Delegation in Abuja, technical advice and support to Borno State Government institutions, and participating in state-level coordination with humanitarian and development partners and State and Federal authorities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What you will be responsible for<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You will lead a Technical Assistance Team (TAT) working closely with a Monitoring and Evaluation Expert and other technical experts. You will lead this team to support the successful implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of selected EU programmes in Borno State.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Objectives<\/strong><br \/>\nThe objectives of the Technical Assistance Team will be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To provide project management support to the EU Delegation in Abuja ensuring a coordinated and efficient implementation, monitoring and evaluation of EU funded actions in Borno State;<\/li>\n<li>To provide overall technical advice and support to Borno State Government, in particular the Borno State Ministry of Reconstruction Rehabilitation and Resettlement (Triple R Ministry), contributing to a better coordinated, targeted, managed and monitored response to the crisis.<\/li>\n<li>To participate in local coordination with humanitarian and development partners and State and Federal authorities and to liaise with all actors directly or indirectly involved in EU funded actions in Borno State, including EU Trust Fund actions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>About You<\/strong><br \/>\nTo achieve this, you as a Team Leader will need the following qualifications and experience:<br \/>\nQualification and Skills:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master\u2019s Degree in Development Studies, Management, International Relations, Economics or equivalent qualification in a relevant field of study.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated\/documented experience in the use of the Internet, Microsoft Office Suite or comparable software for word processing, spread sheet, presentation tools, etc. is required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>General Professional Experience<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of three years of practical experience in community development or related fields.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience in the area of service delivery in challenged operating environments.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience with participatory approaches, which engage primary stakeholders fully throughout the project cycle process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Specific Professional Experience<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of five years\u2019 experience in the management of externally funded projects in developing countries is required in developing countries.<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of three years\u2019 experience in the last ten years in the direct implementation of projects financed by the European Union or international donor partners is required. Experience in the preparation and implementation of tender dossiers within this context is required.<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of three years\u2019 relevant work experience in an English-speaking environment in the last ten years is required if English is not the mother tongue.<\/li>\n<li>Fluency (speak, read) in Hausa is required<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated\/documented experience in monitoring the sustainability of programme activities and evaluate overall progress on achievement of results;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The following experience, skills and qualifications would be an advantage:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrated experience working in the Hausa-speaking Northern Nigeria<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in Kanuri would be considered an advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>About what\u2019s on offer<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Crown Agents offers a competitive benefits package.
