The Centre was established to mobilise global opinion and resources for democratic development and provide an independent space to reflect critically on the challenges posed to the democratization and development processes in West Africa, and also to provide alternatives and best practices to the sustenance of democracy and development in the region. The Centre, among other projects, has continued to work on anti-corruption and illicit financial flows related projects. As a result, it is seeking for a suitable candidate who will be part of the team that will see to the success of its anti-corruption project.<\/p>\n<p>It is in this regards that CDD is inviting applications from qualified candidates to fill position below within the organisation:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Programme Officer, Anti-Corruption<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Abuja<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nScope<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This position holder will provide support for the implementation of the organisation\u2019s anti-corruption and illicit financial flows project(s).<\/li>\n<li>The candidate must be able to multi-task and implement project with limited supervision.<\/li>\n<li>S\/he must have excellent writing and communications skills, demonstrate interest in anti-corruption practice and theory, and work well in a team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Core Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide support for day-to-day management of anti-corruption and Illicit financial flows project the organisation is directly implementing and those implemented by CDD partners;<\/li>\n<li>Produce budget for events\/workshops and assist in the development of yearly project plan; and<\/li>\n<li>Adhere to all policies and procedures of the organisations and the donor agencies in the delivery of mandates.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Provide support for management of partners, social groups and networks in States and local government areas where organisation\u2019s projects are implemented;<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with the Colleagues for effective communication of anti-corruption projects\u2019 progress with donors, partners and other stakeholders to achieve broad objectives of projects and reporting requirement;<\/li>\n<li>Provide support for the reporting of projects\u2019 results and impacts;<\/li>\n<li>Provide support for projects\u2019 administration such as negotiating with hotel, identification of service providers\/consultants, etc. while working closely with Administrative Unit;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Educational Qualification<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First degree in Social Sciences, Humanities and Law<\/li>\n<li>MSc.\/MA in the disciplines will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Membership of relevant professional bodies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least 2 years of professional programme management experience in programs related to anti-corruption and illicit financial flows;<\/li>\n<li>At least 4 years of work experience; and<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience in working on anti-corruption programs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills and Abilities<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong presentation skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently with minimum supervision<\/li>\n<li>Strong IT Skills in MS Office, specifically MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated strong critical thinking and analytical skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent English writing and verbal skills including demonstrated writing, proofreading, and research skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in a team environment<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to develop, establish and maintain good relationships with local partners<\/li>\n<li>Good financial acumen and ability to develop, manage and monitor project budgets<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Travel<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Candidate must be willing to travel domestically as required by project activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Salary<\/strong><br \/>\nVery Competitive<\/p>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their CV\u2019s to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:recruitment@cddwestafrica.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>recruitment@cddwestafrica.org<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>5th May, 2018.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Only Electronically submitted applications will be entertained.
