The company was established to supply global customers with Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial and Engineering Products, on time and at the most competitive prices.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Experienced Procurement Officer<br \/>\nLocation<\/strong>: Rivers<br \/>\n<strong>Reports to:<\/strong> GM Procurement<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description\/Scope<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Currently, we need a procurement expert with minimum of two years experience that can handle our procurement needs with vast experience on foreign procurement, sourcing and material handling.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement processes related to Procurement\/Sourcing.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and update schedules on assigned procurement, ensuring efficient progress reports<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Devise and use fruitful sourcing strategies<\/li>\n<li>Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships<\/li>\n<li>Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms<\/li>\n<li>Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements<\/li>\n<li>Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs<\/li>\n<li>Follow Up on enquiries and leads and ensure that results are obtained<\/li>\n<li>Tender and proposal package preparation and submission<\/li>\n<li>Complete all other tasks as assigned.<\/li>\n<li>Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries<\/li>\n<li>Examine and test existing contracts<\/li>\n<li>Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company<\/li>\n<li>Build up client data base<\/li>\n<li>Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients<\/li>\n<li>Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Performance Measurement Areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Procurement Management<\/li>\n<li>Weekly activities report<\/li>\n<li>Level of communication and feedback<\/li>\n<li>Level of knowledge and compliance to industry standards<\/li>\n<li>Number of RFQs converted to POs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements\/Desired Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Customer Service \u2013 Manages difficult or emotional customer situations;
