{"id":56175,"date":"2018-05-09T11:48:44","date_gmt":"2018-05-09T10:48:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=56175"},"modified":"2018-05-09T11:48:44","modified_gmt":"2018-05-09T10:48:44","slug":"africa-youth-growth-foundation-job-vacancy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/africa-youth-growth-foundation-job-vacancy.html","title":{"rendered":"Africa Youth Growth Foundation Job Vacancy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Africa Youth Growth Foundation is a regional Non-Governmental Organization in Abuja for youth growth, development and empowerment, with a mission of building an African society through constructive engagement with stakeholders expand opportunities for self-development and realization among the youth.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Accountant Assistant (Intern)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Under the direction of the Director of Accounts, the Account Assistant shall assume responsibility for accounting in the foundation and ensure compliance with the contractual financial requirements of programs\/projects.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in accurate keeping of all books of account for the project, including checking account, equipment and supply registers and all accounting records.<\/li>\n<li>Work with the Director of Accounts to lead the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports, fiscal year budgets including financial status of sub-projects account activities with accompanying bank documentation and receipts.<\/li>\n<li>Assist the Director of Accounts and other supervisory staff in monitoring sub-project budgets in accordance with approved work plan activities.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor periodic expenditures of projects by analyzing financial data and producing periodic and ad hoc reports.<\/li>\n<li>Function as support for processing cash advances, retirements, petty cash management and refunds made in favor of the foundation.<\/li>\n<li>Review the work of sub-grantees for accuracy and proper report content.<\/li>\n<li>Support in proposal development in collaboration with proposal team.<\/li>\n<li>Create, update, and maintain financial spreadsheets.<\/li>\n<li>Develop budgets, including staff time allocations.<\/li>\n<li>Work with team leads to resolve problems associated with monthly expenditures and life-of projects budgets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>B.S\/B.A\/HND in Accounting, Banking, and Finance or its recognized equivalent<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 1-3 years\u2019 experience in accounting related position.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with non-governmental organizations in Nigeria is an advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Basic DNA:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Highly creative, innovative and can generate ideas.<\/li>\n<li>Passionate about development and young people.<\/li>\n<li>Self motivated and meets deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Enjoys team spirit and collaboration.<\/li>\n<li>Tolerant and respectful of other tribes, religion and nationality.<\/li>\n<li>Open to learning.<\/li>\n<li>Zero tolerance for norm and routine<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application Closing Date<\/strong><br \/>\n21st May, 2018.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<section id=\"listing-fields\"><\/section>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested and qualified candidates should send their Application Letters, CV&#8217;s and recent passport photograph to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:jobs@aygf.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>jobs@aygf.org<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa Youth Growth Foundation is a regional Non-Governmental Organization in Abuja for youth growth, development and empowerment, with a mission of building an African society through constructive engagement with stakeholders&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[3],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
